I can't believe most of these answers and the question. Are any of you willing to pick up the crops, or willing to fix someones lawn? Probably not! Parasites to the nation, that is a seriously boldface comment without justification. They do work hard, and do any of you think about the fact that they are exploited. They are not paid minimum wage, not even close to minimum wage, why because land owners & business owners know that they are illegal immigrants, the owners have no right to pay them less money because they have a permit to be here. The way I see it, people who see themselves as "white", were illegal immigrants here to, why who gave them permission to come here in the first place. Let me ask you a question, who would you hire someone who is legal and wants $15 an hour or an illegal immigrant who will work for $6? Dont say the legal person because you are lying to yourself. You blame the illegal workers, why dont you blame the business owners who give them the jobs in the first place. Why dont you do the work that they do, because you feel that it is below you, so before you make these false accusations you need to think about both sides of the issue. Guess what both of my parents were illegal immigrants and neither of them has received a single dollar from welfare you know why, because they are hard working. I was born here so that I could have a better life than the one they had, and I get realyy upset when people say that Latino students are stupid and drop out all the time, why do I get angry because at my school I am in the top 15% of the students, I dont like to get stereotyped. All of the comments made against illegal immigration are just ignorant ideas without any facts to support it. Illegals do pay taxes, they are hardworking, and they are not parasites to this country.

I am very sorry. I am not poor nor illegal, but my husband was illegal and it was hard. It is hard because you cant enjoy lif the same way. You will never be able to drive, enjoy a drink because you dont have an ID, rent an apartment etc. As far as that stupid little idea that people have that they dont pay taxes, well let me tell you something, they do. This great goverment of ours, issues out a pin to undocumented migrant workers so they can pay taxes. Why you may ask... well they are given the false hope that maybe one day they will be allowed to function in this country as regular individual. Also remember, if an illegal person is to die while at work.. there is no compensation for the family or anything. there is no retirement plan or workers comp. So please be a little more considerate when speaking of such a sensitive subject.

Because Their Leaders Have Them Convinced
That They Actually Are The "Backbone" Of This Nation
And They Are Stupid Enough To Actually Believe That
20 Million (ILLEGAL ALIENS)
Have More Of An Impact On Our Nations Economy And Structure
Than 300 Million American Workers And Consumers
ILLEGAL ALIENS Are More Accurately Described
As PARASITES In This Nation

If they believe they are the hardworking back bones.
They should have grown a backbone in the first place and came her legally. Learnt some english and respect American law & culture.
Jossy you can tell your sob story, But i will not sympathize,
if your husband wanted to drive a car, rent a flat etc, He could have came here legally, It is not that hard, Illegals get it into their heads that they are treated unfairly, ILLEGALS treat America unfairly by sneaking in and using our resources.

Well, from what I have seen, some of them do work hard, some of them don't, but they sure don't work well! I have seen them working on remodeling homes, and let me tell you the quality of work was abysmal ... I have seen them fix cars, that had to be refixed by someone who knew what they were doing ... I have seen them landscaping making an unholy mess, not knowing a weed from a tree ...
And no, I have not used illegal labor myself, but I know neighbors who have ... that's why I've seen first hand what they actually can do ... and it stands to reason really, if they have no job training in the services they offer, how can the result be acceptable? Cheap is not always cheap ...

Well... I don't see you picking fruit or washing dishes or doing "undignified" labor for cheap so you can go back home and split a four-bedroom house with your nine best friends, living cheap cos you send all your money back home to bring your family to a better place than you were born in .

If they're so hard working etc., why don't the fix their OWN country; make it better instead of heading north for the welfare?

I sincerely believe they have some very effective organizations behind them with big bucks, too. I fear they have ulterior motives.
