I have been with my sweetie for 4 years now. We live together and for the most party are happy. However, he has a hobby that takes up every friday, sat, and sun, from October - February. I dont mind because I enjoy my "me time". Well i asked him recently if he would take me on one last date since i wouldnt have one until probably valentines day, and his response was, "ugh, im broke and im too busy right now". Well the next day he came home with 1000 dollars worth of car parts for his "toy" and then spent the evening working on it. UM last time I checked, dinner and a movie wasnt near that expensinve nor does it take 6 hours. I am very hurt and frustrated. I dont know if its cuz I feel like he loves his "toys" more than me, or that i feel used and unappreciated. I have never put even ME before him and i expect some frikkin appreciation. some concern for my feelings for once would be nice. What do I do? How do I discuss this without sounding like a whiney, needy *****?

Either match your expectations with your situation or look elsewhere for your needs to be met. Why should he drop his dreams and what makes him happy because your expectations have changed? Either support him or let him find somebody else who enjoys what he does.

tell him about it 4 years u guys should tell each other everything don't keep secrets if he doesn't like how you told him then maybe u 2 aren't the right couple
