I don't want commitement, I want the freedom to flirt and play games, and have fun with different guys. While most of my friends are always looking for potential boyfriends, I've never had a real one (the closest is this f*cked up thing I have with my guy friend).

I don't think that I would go so far as to pigeonhole that as a "guy" trait.
I think it is simply a spinoff of the freedom that women have now that they are finally recognized as full contributing members of our society. Enjoy it, you'll be able to look back on these days later on in your life and wonder "what if?"

I don't know what ever gave you the idea that there's a "guy mentality" toward dating that involves a lack of committment and the desire for flirting. I think that's an old myth that is certainly not accurate for a large majority of guys. Anyway, a lot of people like to have that mentality toward dating because being in a relationship can be restraining for some people. I don't think there's anything wrong with it and I don't think it's weird at all.

Everyone wants different things from relationships. Seems fine to me. Your goals may change some day but no reason to force that now. Have fun
