its bleeding... a leaf fell and the tree is still pushing water to that leaf.

I saw this once myself. It actually looks like misty rain falling. I would agree that it is something like plant sweat. Cars were parked under the one I saw and the stuff was sap. I is a real nightmare trying to remove it from the paint of the cars. Sometimes when you look under a tree and the ground or the pavement is darker even though the shadow is way over to the side, its because that tree has been doing the same thing. Makes sidewalks and pavement sticky. I think this is common in the fall when the trees get ready to shed their leaves. Cedars and evergreens are notorious for dropping tiny droplets of sap as well as globs occasionally.

There are 2 possiblities I can think of:
Dew: Was it foggy or damp outside the night before, if so the leaves of the tree got wet from that and the birds or wind made the dew drops fall.
Sap: A thick like substance that drains from trees this time of year, it generally comes out of the trunk but can also come from limbs that were overhead.

its rather simple really... The tree happens to be the site of the indian massacre that killed over 150 people by hanging them from the tree. They are buried underneath which was then the site of satanic rituals to claim those angry souls.
So now the tree drips small drops of angry souls on sunny days to freak you out.
Or its sap being permeated to equilibrate the internal pressure.

thrilling, i'm a Weeping Willow. Weeping Willow, the melancholy. eye-catching yet packed with melancholy, beautiful, very empathic, loves something eye-catching and tasteful, likes to holiday, dreamer, under pressure, capricious, honest, could be stimulated yet isn't basic to stay with, demanding, stable instinct, suffers in love yet unearths each so often an anchoring better half.

The word you're looking for is "guttation." Some plants can pump water up a ways from the roots, and it'll come out the leaves.

more likely,it was tree sap, which tends to "run" in autumn, which is why maple syrup is made in the fall.

It could be sap, more likely it is "honeydew" which is a polite word for aphid poo.
