Well either one would work. The former is a bit aggressive, but that can be a good thing because it shows that you're really interested in going out with him. It makes your intentions very clear. The latter is a question that's more cautious and attempts to twist the pressure around onto the guy you like.
I would prefer if a girl asked me the first one because it shows what you want very clearly and a bit more dominatingly because I would be told we're going on a date, not asked whether I want to or not. But that's just me. I don't think there's going to be a world of difference between them.

Be very careful about HOW both of those are asked. I really don't think the wording matters so much as the delivery. If you laugh too much he may think you are joking and not give an honest response. There is nothing wrong with asking straight up too
"Would you like to go on a date sometime?"

Doesn't really matter...but it really depends on the guy. MOST guys, would like either question.
Personally, the 1st one is direct, and would only use it if you are pretty certain you are going to get a yes answer. Otherwise, the response could be more than you want to hear.
I would go with the second if you are not 100% sure.

Doesn't really matter but I would prefer the second one. The first one sounds like you are asking me to take you out, like its something i'm obligated to do. The second one sounds like you want to spend time with.

"You want to go out with me?"
b/c even if the guy does like her, than i would feel more comfortable her saying that because it shows that she understands if i dont feel the same way and shes not just thinking about herself.
luckily i dont have to worry about that b/c i already have a loving girlfriend :)

If the girl is asking, it doesn't matter how as long as it is straight forward.
