yah ud think he wouldnt proclaim his riches so much, being "christian/catholic" where it says in the bible that its easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle then a rich man enter the kingdom of heaven. shouldnt the pope be doing more to feed (and perhaps educate) africa? if hes so rich and has so many people hanging on his every word?

For those of Roman Catholic faith, the robes have a great deal of emotional/historical meaning. Your freedom to be irreverent is no different than their freedom to believe. They do you no harm with their freedom. It would be well if you did the same.
