I had a teacher, but after the first week she dropped out. She didn't explain why or anything. I need someone who is willing to teach me the ways of Wicca. I started my BOS. I don't know why she isn't helping anymore but it really upset me. AND DONT EXPLAIN WHY I SHOULDNT BE IN WICCA.

I have taught Wicca for over 20 years, I have been a practitioner for 26. Usually when a teacher drops a student they state the reason. If the teacher just dumped you, that person was not qualified to teach in the first place. They may have actually done you a favor.
When one takes a student it is usually after much searching in our own hearts. We are committed to that person for a minimum of 366 days, they are trusting us to be a guide. It is a huge responsibility and should not be taken lightly.
There is a saying in the Craft, when the student is ready, the teacher will appear. There is wisdom in that statement. You can learn many things about Wicca without a teacher. There are many people that do this and there is nothing wrong with it . (regardless of what some ego-maniacs may tell you)

I saw that some others have listed some great sites as well. (I hope I didn't repeat anyone)
I am going to offer you some advice...
Don't take up a teacher that offers. Wise teachers know what a commitment it is and don't ask, they require the student to seek them out.
Question and examine everything. Do not take anything at face value.
Mysteries are experienced, not taught. There is a difference between secrets and Mysteries.
In closing, I want to let you know that I always learn more from my students than they learn from me. My greatest wish for each of them is that they surpass me in every way. I hope you find what you are seeking.

There are a lot of people joining Wicca that don't really need to join, and the movement is growing way too fast. Nowadays it seems most are morbidly obese fluffies that are afraid to take their clothes off. Some are just people rebelling against their parents and eventually quit when they get older or become Satanists to rebel even more. Dana gave you the best answer. If you keep getting rejected, I would say take it as a sign it's not for you. Not everyone was meant to be a witch, but that doesn't mean you can't be something else.

And Dana, you shouldn't have zapped Seph before I could have said this:

Seph, please don’t assume you speak for all Wiccans, because you don’t In some Wiccan traditions the Great Rite is indeed part of the initiation. Some even cut the wrist in the highest initiations, and this is known as “The Mark of Initiation”, and is indeed an honor. Even in many non-Wiccan witchcraft traditions sex is part of initiation. Ozark witchcraft includes sex in a graveyard, and even a handful of Wiccan covens have adopted this practice. It’s common place in many voodoo cults as well. Since you’re from a different tradition, don’t think it’s the only one. Try doing some more research and maybe you’ll stop putting your foot in your mouth. Why do you try to turn every question about Wicca into a debate about incest? Dana and I have both said we don’t see any problem with two consenting adults engaging in it, other people have said it too,so please just get the Hell over it. "

That's what I would have said. Man, you do fast work, Dana! LOL! I saw Seph's rant last night but I was too tired to reply to it right then.

Blessed Be!

If your teacher dismissed you, you might have your answer. I'm probably the only Wiccan on Yahoo Answers that doesn't seek to convert everyone that comes along. Since I don't know your situation, I'll assume your teacher had an emergency she had to attend to.

First, you need to find a real coven that practices skyclad (naked as nature) and practices the Great Rite (sacred sex). This is the only way. A book or website can't initate you, because the energies are transmitted through sex.

You might also want to read The Good Witch's Bible by Gavin and Yvonne Frost, probably the best book on WIcca on the market, and then go from there.

Blessed Be!

In addition to the websited cited by earlier answers I would recommend: "Witchcraft Today" and "The Meaning of Witchcraft" by Gerald B. Gardner (the founder of the Wiccan faith); "The Alex Sanders Lectures" by Alex Sanders (the founder of Alexsanderian Wicca); "A Witches Bible Compleat" by Janet and Stewart Farrar (an Alexsanderian High Priestess and Priest); "A Book of Pagan Rituals" by Samuel Weiser (Gardnerian/Valientean, used by students prior to their initiation); "An ABC of Witchcraft Past and Present", "Natural Magic", "Where Witchcraft Lives", "Witchcraft for Tomorrow" by Doreen Valiente (second only to Gardner in responsibility for the development of Wicca); and, until you find a group, "A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham. I'd recommend against anything by Sybil Leek, Laurie Cabot, or Lady Sheba.

If you truly are suited for Wicca it will find you.

If you are trying to get into the recently trumped up "oh goodie, lets pretend we know what we are doing, burn some sweetgrass and dress up with antlers on our heads, buy a brass mortar and play around" type of wicca,it doesn't matter.

Wicca is nature, and the forces of nature do not follow the whims of pretenders.

One of the great things about Wicca, or indeed most forms of neopaganism these days is that you don't need someone to tell you how to connect with divinity. The connection is already there; you know exactly how to get there. You just have to trust your instinct.

One thing you will find nowadays is that you don't really need someone to teach you. There are a ton of books available to read and research if you want to practice solitary.

If you are interested in working in a circle then you might want to check out witchvox.com to find others in your area

If none of those work out for you feel free to contact me and I can see what I can find for you.

Blessed Be )O(

Honey, you should continue it as independent study and find your own path. She started you on it but it is up to you to find your own way. If there are questions that need answers there are many forums and resources that can help.
