syndactyly: a union of two or more digits that is normal in some animals (as various marsupials) and occurs as a human hereditary disorder marked by webbing of two or more fingers or toes.

Question: If webbed toes are hereditary..................................... Did adam or eve have the webbed fingers & toes?

Hey Jay Z: I believe in gravity because if I drop a rock...it falls. Why do you believe that adam & eve were "real" and had no defects?-gino

Hey Rich Z: trust me, I want to hear people say "recessive". Then it leads us to WHY? Why would god create such a possibility as "deformities" and "retardation" etc.....what purpose could it possibly serve?

No. One must be real in order to have such cool appendages.

You don't have to show every characteristic for which you have a gene. If you have blue eyes (usually a recessive) and your wife has brown eyes (usually a dominant) your kids will show brown eyes even though they may be carrying a recessive gene for blue. Some day your brown-eyed kid might marry someone else with brown eyes and a recessive blue eye gene and have a blue eyed child. No one will run around saying that is impossible because both parents have brown eyes. If you are going to twist science to make a point at least get the science right in the first place.

We have to toe the mark on this one or we will be fingered by the man.
Hereditary disorders can be introduced to a line at any point through genetic mutation. It would be fun to imagine who had the first webbed toes: some ancient navigator sailing out of Carthage? An American Indian guiding his canoe through the Everglades? A Thai paddling out into the Indian Ocean to fish for his family.
For the webbed fingers - just look for someone who couldn't cross his/her fingers...or perhaps to the only person in history who didn't point his/her fingers at some point.

None of us is actually descended from Adam and Eve. During the Great Flood, Noah and his family were beamed up into an alien spaceshape, and then replaced with aliens shape-shifted to look like the original humans. Up until that time, animals were able to talk. Instead of replacing all the millions of animals on the small boat with alien look-alikes, it was decided that it would be more economical just to make them dumb (or dumber, whichever you prefer).

I have no idea where you get your information. Adam and Eve did not have webbed fingers and toes or we all would. Scientists already have proved that all humans came from the same two parents by use of DNA. Our DNA does not include webbed hands or feet.

Adam and Eve just like Santa Clause, the Easter Bunny, Neo, Darth Vader, Wolverine, Superman, and Flash Gordon are all PRETENDS!

It was a Genetic DISorder. Genes that did not split correctly.

I believe Adam and Eve had no defects.

I doubt it. But we know so little about our own genetic makeup it is hard to say where genetic traits like this came from. Possible there was some sort of mild genetic mutation that led to this. Possibly the mixing of genetic material created new genetic patterns that lead to this sort of thing.

That would make them mutants and since mutations are a result of evolution.......

They had the recessive gene for it.
