It is totally wrong. What they are doing is choosing not to call it Christmas.George Washington crossed the Delaware on Christmas morning to invade the British camp .He did not cross the Delaware on winter break nor holiday. It was Christmas Day.Freedom of speech allows the children at the school to have a Christmas program if they choose and it's perfectly legal. And I expect some thumbs down so go right ahead it will be worth it .The teachers that teach such things and give support to this , shame on you.If we deny Jesus before men He will also deny you before His Father.Would you work at a place or want your spouse working there if they where not aloud to speak your name and tell people they were married. The Apostles were commanded not to speak in the name of Jesus .What would of happen had they done that, were would we be today?Read Acts 4:1-33.It's past time for the church to start standing on the promises and quit just setting in the pews.If your married you should want people to know it.If your a christian you should want people to know it.Amen

I think it's foolish that they don't allow Halloween anymore but instead the middle school gave the students the "assignment" of dressing up as a character out of any book. Now, isn't that just dressing up for Halloween but calling it a horse of a different color?
I say, JUST LET KIDS BE KIDS AND NOT IMPOSE HYSTERICAL "ADULT" BELIEFS ON THEM BEFORE THEY LOSE ANY SEMBLANCE OF IMAGINATION!!!
After all, why preach that any child's character is gay if they're purple? What's wrong with purple? I LIKE purple! Does that mean the entire history of the English royalty is gay because purple is considered a royal color?
Watching a purple teletubbie carry a red "magic bag" that appears to an adult as a purse will cause small children to grow up to be gay? Maybe he's just a member of the Red Hatter's Society in training?
And why didn't all the little boys become gay from watching Bozo the Clown with that outrageous hairdo?
Okay, that being said, I'll get off my soap box now!

For many schools that is correct. That way it doesn't show preference to xian children by taking a holiday for their celebration, and ignoring all other religious holidays (and excluding non-religious people altogether).
Winter Break is appropriate...and people can celebrate (or not) whatever they like.

It's called "separation of church and state," and yes, it's absolutely right. Otherwise we'd have to give equal opportunity to all religious holidays, which would mean no time left for learning.

It's not right, in that it helps children to forget their obligation to God. People are reverting to their pagan roots...
