chemicaly straightening is bad for your hair. Makes it dry and more likly to have split ends and break off especially if it dyed as well.....I would recommend getting and wet/dry straightener and try that approach

I would recommend skipping the straightening process and just use a flat iron and various products at home. I've fought curly hair all my life, and after horrific experiences with different salons and getting it straightened, I've finally given up. The last time I had my hair straightened my scalp bled and developed scabs from the chemicals. When I ran my fingers through my hair, clumps would come out - both from the root and from breakage. It took over a year for my hair to recover and look like real hair again. Nothing is worth going through that again!

Never straighten your hair if there is any colour in it. Your hair will break off at the root. My girlfriend didn't listen to me and lied to the hairdresser. Her hair broke off at the root when washing out the chemical. Yes you can colour your hair about 2-3 weeks after it is straightened, but then if you do that the next time your out of luck. P.S. She had to get extensions put in for 3 years. before her head didn't look like a boys cut.

I truly have curly hair, and it sounds precisely like yours. I had my hair chemically straightened many years in the past, and that i changed into dissatisfied with the outcomes - it changed into very wavy. The kink changed into gone, even though it honestly changed into no longer straight away (or a minimum of as straight away as I envisioned). once you've the money, it's going to make it less complicated and swifter to flat iron it - yet you'll nonetheless ought to. As for the technique, in case you do commit to do it, it takes about 4 hours in a salon. that is basically the same as getting your hair dyed, and they merely wash it once you're finished - and appeal it, frequently. i does no longer do it back.

ok, yes the "filck" as you call it will come back its not a permint treatment, and you have to wait alest 1-2 weeks before you dye your hair, and from personal experiance i wouldnt wash my hair, or sracth my head the week before you get it straightend. (and yeah haveing it relaxed/ chemically straightend are the same thing)

you will still have to blow dry and/or flat iron your hair after getting it chemically straitened....its just a relaxer that is going to make your hair strait, but its also going to make it kind of frizzy and a weired spongy texture....but it will stop it from flipping out on the ends
