Son, if you meant this with all respect, you would have written it to me personally rather than calling me out in public like a bully on a playground. I have no problem expressing myself.

As you can see from your post, which I've quoted below because you neglected to provide a link, you weren't the nicest of people in your questions, obviously posted to single out people. It was not an innocent question... you yourself are referring to people who argue/discuss in the religion section as "ignorant."

Be that as it may, my use of the word "ignorant" means "unaware because of a lack of relevant information or knowledge" and my answer reflects that. I was a confirmed Lutheran. I attended church and thought I believed in god... I tried to, anyway, mostly to make my very faithful mom happy. It is my experience that religious people, in general, are ignorant of the science world, the workings of the natural world, and the truth behind how we came to be here if it doesn't fit their biblical learning.

I make no judgement as to the education of religious people. My own mother, a very Christian woman, graduated Summa *** Laude from a major university. She is educated. Many religious people are. But they are ignorant of how this world works. Heck, my 5 year old son can work a DVD player and turn on lights... that doesn't make him brilliant OR well-educated.

Rather than keeping an open mind and learning about science, examining evidence that our most learned men have found in relation to the age of the earth, when dinosaurs roamed (WAAAAY before man was here), the creation of our universe, etc., they'd rather stay bundled up in the blanket of their bible (which yes, I've read many times... great book of stories, but no more factual than Harry Potter). My mind is open to the possibility of some sort of creator out there somewhere... but there is no proof of his/her existence and until there is, I'll stay bundled up in my blanket of scientific truth.

So... thanks for taking the time to bully me into submission in this public forum. I appreciate the publicity and I hope we have time to talk again sometime.

And if you believers think YOU'RE persecuted, walk a mile in my moccasins... see what it's like to say "I don't believe." Sand in my face, flipped off by drivers because of an "evolve" fish on my bumper, my child harassed, my car vandalized... things I would NEVER even THINK of doing to anyone else for ANY reason... all done to me because I don't believe. And when I mention this, I'm told, "Then they aren't true Christians." And I'm supposed to know this how?

Belief in a deity is all fine and good... believe all you want. But religion is poison and makes people do some pretty crazy and mean things. Take a peek at http://www.godhatesfags.com and tell me THEY aren't "true Christians" when obviously, they believe they ARE. They're doing plenty of persecuting.

I read your previous question, all the answers and the answer of rlRose63 was the best answer you recieved.

If you're here only for people to agree with your point of view, I advise you to go to the travel section, or the sports section.

Geezz, it's so childish to pick one answer and try to publicly provoce an argument. It's not ignorant, I give you that. But it _is_ arrogant, silly and insanely childish.

Peace!

Apparently rlRose63 would like to believe that her fantasy view of the world IS real, while she bashes other people who have studied longer and harder than she.

The word is "hypocrite" but then that's pretty long for the uneducated.

Are you sure that is what is taught by God. Investigate:

Maybe you would realize that God's people have been persecuted since the begining of the fall.
