I am so glad to finally see someone doing it right! The key to losing weight is to burn more calories than you take in. Your food intake is healthy and I think your activity will offset your calories. Write down everything you eat and the # of calories they contain and figure out how much you burn. If the burn is more, you will lose weight. Congrats on not starving yourself, or going on some fad diet and for exercising. You rock!

Yes. Be careful how much of the stuff you eat, not just what you eat: Every 3,500 calories you don't eat, or every 3,500 calories you exercise will burn one pound. You need to eat at least 1,800 calories every day, and it's best to eat them in 5-6 meals so you don't get too full or too hungry. Walking for an hour at a pace where you can talk to a friend but you still get sweaty burns about 300 calories/hr. SO, if you eat 200 calories less than you do now every day, and walk for an hour every day then you will lose your 20 pounds in 140 days- about 4 months. And the best part is if you do it this way you will have new habits that help you keep the weight off the rest of your life. If you want to lose weight a little faster, eat a little less each day, and while you are walking- jog for 1 minute and then walk for 5 minutes.

Sounds goods. Otherwise? My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.
On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.
The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!
Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.
Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.
Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

When talking about losing 20lbs, it's really hard to say because someones original weight can effect the speed of weight loss. A 200 pound person could probably lose 20 lbs of fat and water in a week or two, however a 130 pound person would take much much longer. Also remember that it is only possible to lose two pounds of fat per week. This being said...
Think about how much this differs from your normal routine. This sounds to me like healthy choices to maintain a healthy weight. And if it is very different from your normal routine it would be a safe and healthy way to lose weight. But if you want fast results, you might have to take unhealthy measures or add a supplement or meal replacement. I would recommend going the healthy road however. Good job!

it's a good way to lose weight, but about losing 20-lb fast, well, you can only lose 1-2 lb/wk without compromising your health, so as long as you're buring more calories than you're consuming you can probably lose 20-lb in 10-20 wks (2.5-5 months)
the only thing I'd say is drop the eggs everyday (that's a LOT of cholesterol) unless you go to an egg subsititue like Egg Beaters, they look and tast the same and don't have all that cholesterol
another thing I'd recommend is to eat 4-5 small meals every 4 hrs or so instead of 3 big meals to get your metabolism as efficient as possible
also, lift weights, additional muscle mass will probably make you gain weight, but it will slim you down and also boost your metabolism

scrambled eggs for breakfast every morning?
Maybe you didn't know this, but it's really bad for you to eat more then 3-4 eggs each week. I'd recommend some kind of yogurt with fruits or raisins or muesli or something like that instead, because it's healthier and it'll keep you satisfied longer, so that you won't be starving 1-2 hours before lunch!
If you're going to eat sandwiches for lunch, make sure they're full of healthy stuff and that the bread is whole-wheat, and not white!
You should also eat meet (unless you're a vegetarian, in that case you should eat beans and stuff like that) and lots of fruit so that your body gets enough protein!
If you're going to exercise that mush you'll really need many vitamins and really much protein and lots carbs, or else your body will just get in worse shape then it is now!
The best thing would be to contact a dietist before making such radical changes, but hey, it's your body.

To me that doesn't sound like enough food for all that exercise so you are going to deplete yourself of energy and eventually get worn out. Yes in order to lose weight you need to have a calorie deficit. Scrambled eggs is a great choice for breakfast. I would even suggest getting the cartons of egg whites from which to make them- this takes out the yolks which have mostly fat and cholesterol and keeps the whites which have the proteins and good nutrients. I would suggest adding some vegetables to your eggs. In pretty much any diet plan you can eat as many vegetables as you want. I like to put a handful of chopped spinach in my morning eggs and I also add a couple of tablespoons of salsa for flavor.
The salad for lunch also sounds good (fruit isn't enough- you can have that as a snack between breakfast and lunch). Be sure your salad has some type of protein and lots of veggies. I also like to add a tablespoon of all bran buds because fiber helps to keep you feeling full and it also helpful in the weighloss process. I would suggest a wrap instead of sandwich - less carbs- but make sure it's filled with protein and lots of veggies too.
And yes, it is a good idea to have your supper be the lightest meal of the day. Having another salad or some chicken with veggies. And drinking nothing but water is good too- make sure you get enough. Drinking sufficent amounts of water (@2-3 liters) can actually speed up the weight loss process by helping all your organs be at their best - especially your liver which is key in metabolizing.
The key thing here to know is if you are eating the right foods - and eating enough- your metabolism will actually speed up and you will lose weight in a healthy way. This will make it easier to keep weight off and you will still be healthy at the same time. Most people equate losing weight with starving themselves and this just isn't the case.
Good luck to you.

Yea read up on it definitly. The worst thing you can do is not take in enough food. You may lose weight, but you will lose a lot of muscle. No one said losing weight was easy. Read the two pages below. Also be careful what you hear from whom, some people are just plain dumb.
