There is no real answer to this question but what I have learned of what love is to me and that is the word LOVE itself holds the answer.......

(L)isten: and validate them by hearing and empathizing.
(O)verlook: their minor character flaws as they will overlook yours.
(V)alue: who they are and what they mean to you.
(E)xpress: how you love them not just with words but with actions.

Loving someone is being there for them and caring about them no matter want, you also tell them that you love them every change you get. Now being in love with someone is having that feeling that you are safe everytime he or she comes around. You don't even have to tell that person you love them cause they already know and feel itin there heart. Being inlove is making sure you call this person everyday just to hear their voice to make sure they are still alive. Missing them every second they are gone out of your site. That is the differences between the two!

Loving someone is like being nice to them most of the time. Being in Love with someone is sharing your most personal thoughts and wanting to get with that person only.

The two are synonymous unless you are really thinking of the second as being just to do with sex. "Loving someone"should mean sharing each other's interests, being able to enjoy the other's company in quiet times together as well as in bed. In case it interests you, the great missionary Paul wrote about love in Chapter 13 of his first letter to the Corinthians. It is frequently read at Wedding Services.

Being in Love connotes romantic love. Other than that, the difference is when you love someone, you like the things they do for you. When you are IN love with someone, you like the things that you can do for them...without there being hopes of favors in return: the act of kindness & love is a reward in and of itself.

Or, as I once wrote: "To live is to love, and you make life worth living."

If this truely applies to your situation, you are in love. If your partner is just nice & handy to have around, you may just love the things they do for you, and not the person themself.

If you are in love with somebody, then you also accept or tolerate their faults. Love is a word you can only really understand when you are in love, those who miss it miss alot! good luck..looks like you have just met someone real nice!

The way you feel about you mother/father/family is loving someone... but the way you feel about you husband/boyfriend/wife/etc is being in love with someone. When you're truly in love with someone you know the difference its an indescribably feeling but you know you couldn't live without them and you would do anything for them!!!

You can be in love with someone you hardly know, in your thoughts of what he might be. When you love someone it means that you know & accept almost everything about him and want him to stay as he is. You don't judge people you love, you're just there for them. Being in love is something temporary, loving is constant.

I think loving someone is were you love ther looks, the way they are, love the way they do somethings. but being in love, where you don't care if they change, you love the person in side. you would stick to them no matter what they did.
