OK, I've got a presentation due tomorrow and need some help with Powerpoint. I want to make a slide where when I click, new words appear on the screen. Like a list. I'll first show point #1, then when I click on the mouse, point #2 will show up on the same slide, and so on.. how do I do this?

Thank you!!!!!

Ok what you have to do is figure out what word or sentence you want to come up first. Have each word or sentence in a seperate text box, it's just easier to explain that way. then what you do is right click on what you want first, click custom animation, a panel will show up on the right side of your screen. then click add effect entrance, more effects, then click on one of the different choices once and watch to see which one you like best and click ok. The text box will now have a number 1 next to it now. that means that whenever you go to that slide and click that will be the first thing that pops up. continue doing this until you have the desired effect. you can even rehearse your timing so that you don't have to click the mouse at all. hope this helps out!

Right-click the text box with your list and select Custom Animation. On teh Task Pane on the right, click Add Effect - Entrance, and pick an entrance style.

You may have to tweak the Timing if the words are showing up all together or taking too long to appear, etc. To change timing preferences, click on the animation on your list of items in the Task Pane and select Timing. The different lines appear grouped in the Task Pane, but you get pick any one to change it's settings (like if you want a different entrance sound for each line).
