Ha! Do you have an idea of HOW many scam artists are going around with cameras telling pretty young ladies that they work for Playboy and that they'd like to photograph them?
Many years ago, I lived with a very tall, shapely woman (she was 6 foot tall, I'm only 5' 5") and she came telling me about a supposed Playboy photographer that wanted to take her photo. I questioned her but... I lost the argument. He came around and was surprised to see me and told her that he does not allow an audience. He mentioned to her that he got lost in the subway. I asked him why a so-called professional was using a Pentax K100 with a simple 50mm lens (a beginner's camera and lens back then), and how he would pretend to get the depth of field required in portraiture... his answer was non-sensical. I asked him yet another technical question on lighting and he was unable to respond properly. He excused himself and said he had to get some other equipment from the trunk of his car... he left and I turned to my ladyfriend and asked, "Didn't he say that he got lost in the subway?" Well, in his rush he left behind a brown paper bag that had a bottle of wine... and would you believe he never returned? A few months later, he was apprehended by police for posing as a professional photographer to a minor and raping her! My ladyfriend was not only embarrassed but she told everyone at the college of her near "experience."
Be careful not to let your ego cause you to make careless mistakes that can land you in trouble. If you ARE approached and offered something that seems like a great deal, why don't you take the person's business card, and take the time to call Playboy (your life may depend on it) and confirm and verify if so-and-so is one of their photographers and explain the situation! Be sure that you are accompanied by someone for the supposed photo-shoot... two can yell for help louder than one!

The dude above is totally correct about many guys posing as photographers (and many "real" photographers bluffing) about Playboy and other such mags.
You can submit photos yourself- you can do a TFCD with a decent photographer- avoid signing a model release because he should be honored to be taking your nudes for free- and submit those photos yourself. This is something I need to do actually :)
If someone who is legitimately from Playboy approaches you about the magazine-- well that would definitely be awesome and make you the envy of thousands of other girls :)
Playboy is a tasteful company, and the term "playboy style nudes" obviously derives from how they shoot their photography (nonexplicit nudes). I really love the photography in their publications and websites. It would be an honor to work with them in any way.

i think they're anti-beautiful. just my opinion. but to be honored and to do it are two separate things. i would be honored also, but i would never do it. the idea of millions of people looking at me is gross. the ida of my parents knowing i did something like that is even grosser.
plus, the girls on the tv show look very trashy, and i hate playboy. (i dont hate porn, just playboy specifically)

It is interesting that this doesn't involve anyone ever seeing the start of a relationship in the real world.
Also, good looking women don't exist anywhere.

I agree with you. The pictures are always done tastefully, and the photographers make the women look beautiful. It would be a great momento of my youth!
