What is your definition of a housewife?

In North America well-adjusted, educated, successful men are not interested in under educated women, even if they want their wife to stay home. I guess it depends what lifestyle you want to have.

[No, I am not suggesting it is otherwise anywhere / everywhere else - I simply don't know enough of other cultures so wanted to be specific].

You can become a housewife at any time you want, just find a man and get married. However, you should also look into your future- what if later down the line you see this as a path you shouldn't of taken or you "retire" ("Retire" here means that all your children have moved on)-- you might want some college background as a backup plan.

Well for starters you need to be a wife.

I don't think you need to go to College, but you need to have a grasp of basic Home Economics. This includes cooking, cleaning, etc.

While I don't think "donning an apron" will automatically qualify you for a housewife, it certainly will help you "embrace the part".

Good luck.

You first need to get married and then stay home and do all the shopping, cooking, and cleaning!
You do not need to go to college to be a housewife!

Good luck! I'd love to stay home all day but my husband I both need to work - there's no way I could do that. Plus, it might get really boring.
