No, but it is a sign that big changes are ahead. The order of the world clearly needs to change. The chaos and suffering had been prophesied centuries ago for the beginning of the 21st Century, and we entered the Spiritual Age.

Destroyed, yes, as God has already said he plans to do that, but remember, world means people, not planet or any of the other species on it. In the sense of the Bible, it refers to those not in keeping with God;s Word, even those to claim to speak in the name of Christ.
