after a spell can i use my sword to ground the power?

i havent cast a spell yet i want to learn as much as i can before i do

Lots of people other than Wiccans practice magick..... in fact not all Wiccans practice magick.

Anyway I assume you can, but I don't use an athame myself so I don't have any personal experience to share about that.

I'm a member of a nice yahoo group for solitary practitioners, you might want to check it out. It's called Solitary.

Are you sure you should be casting spells if you don't know how to ground power?

Better to ground *yourself*. Sit on the grass outside and breathe deep, run, have a snack--all of those have worked for me.

Why would you want to grind powder after the spell?
