lol!! this is a truly funny question, I literally laughed when I read it. I don't know if you meant it to be a joke or if you were serious, but either way, it's a GREAT one! :-)
People that have angina, or chest pains, often take very small tablets of nitroglycerin at the onset of those chest pains, and sometimes, they are prescribed nitroglycerin in a pill form or patch form to take on a regular basis. The idea behind it is that it is a vasodilator, meaning it causes your blood vessels to expand, allowing more oxygen to your heart. Many times, when people are having chest pains, it is due to decreased oxygen to their heart, and when they pop a nitro under their tongue, it allows for speedy vasodilation, thus allowing more oxygen to their heart, and reducing the pain. This can have side effects though, especially if taken in larger quantities, the two most common being headache and lightheadedness.
The amount of nitro in the pills is not enough to cause any type of explosive action in the human body, or they wouldn't be able to sell it and it wouldn't be approved by the FDA. I don't think you have any need to worry about blowing up. The bigger concern would be if you were actually having a heart attack or not. That is why they tell patients if you've taken three nitros and your chest pain is not relieved, you need to call 911 and get to the nearest ER. ;-)
Truly... your question is .. the bomb! :-P *smiles*

It probably has something to do with the number of NO3 groups attached to the glycerine molecule. Mono-nitroglycerin would not be explosive, however tri-nitroglycerin would blow your head off, kinda like tri-nitro-toluene.

Nitroglycerin tablets are stabilized. They won't blow up even if you hit them with a hammer. If you had a bottle of liquid nitroglycerin in your pocket and you jumped up and down you might succeed in blowing yourself up.

Nitroglycerin is taken by people who suffer from heart problems. It is not administered in any kind of quantity sufficient to cause an explosion. I highly doubt that the medication itself would pose an explosion risk even before it's taken. Otherwise terrorists would be robbing heart patients.

nicely somtimes people who positioned themselves down annoy me slightly greater, and each so often the peopel who're very huge-headed do. notwithstanding i attempt to be extremely joyful for the folk who're slightly 'finished-of-themselves' because it shows they have a multitude of self belief in what they do and as long as they at the instant are not making anybody else sense undesirable interior the approach, I attempt and know them. while people who positioned themselves down fall into 2 categories; one million.people who secretly be attentive to they're unquestionably very stable on the subject they're putting themselves down for, and a pair of.people who've little or no self esteeem. the folk who fall into team one million, do annoy me exceptionally! it extremely is sparkling they're fishing for compliments and only prefer human beings to tell them how stable they're. notwithstanding those in team 2, I sympathise with very much. it extremely is in many situations very complicated to love your own artwork and that i come across myself thinkingabout how hopeless i think whilst in comparison with everybody else. those human beings could be shown that they are stable at what they do and whether they weren't, it is not suitable. wish this helped slightly!
