She had her kittens almost 5 weeks ago and moves them around alot. I show her all kinds of affection and feed her everything she wants(she even eats green beans). She is so skinny but eats constantly, and her poop is runny and she is constantly passing gas so bad i have to leave the room. She eats her hard food and sometimes 2 cans of soft food and usually my cocker spaniels food also. Could the dog food be causing her gas? I have also recently found her drinking the water out of the fish bowl no matter where I move it too she gets into it. It is a beta and I use the drops for the water. I was told she would only eat and drink what she needed to provide for her babies but I am concerned for her health. She also moves the babies to where ever my dog is at that doesn't seem normal to me. The dog is sorta scared of the babies she doesn't know what to think of 5 babies climbing on her.

She needs to be wormed, checked for coccidia, and put on a better diet. I bet she is eating crap food...something with colors and corn and fillers. Dog food is also not good for cats.
The kittens need worming also. The mom needs to be spayed so she does not become more debilitated by having litter after litter. Responsible ownership means you worm and vaccinate and SPAY!!! If you can't or won't do these things, you should not have pets. They are not toys that produce babies for your enjoyment or money.
Get her to the vet and get her taken care of. Get the kittens there also so they can be wormed and vaccinated too.

Your cat's digestive problems are probably related to the type of food you are feeding him. While grocery store cat food is inexpensive, it is also not very nutritionally poor. If you want to get rid of his flatulence, you need to slowly (mix the food together about half/half for a week or so) switch him over to a quality food such as Hills Science, Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul (I feed this to my cats & ferrets), Royal Canin, or Nutro. It is more expensive but actually cheaper in the long run. Cheap foods are mostly fillers which means you have to actually feed your cat more to get the same amount of nutrition (protein) as less of the more expensive food. Avoid cat foods with corn, corn isn't good for kitties. Chicken Soup for the Cat Lover's Soul has a wide range of protein sources (chicken, duck, turkey, etc...) that is great for your kitty and should stop the gas within 2 weeks or less. If you change your kitty's food and he still has problems, he needs to see the vet.

Get a kennel for your cat to keep her from moving her babies so much, it's unhealthy for them. If you must, confine your cat in the kennel for a few hours everyday.

The dog food, and possibly the water from your Beta's bowl may be making her sick, but the abundance of food she is consuming and still being thin is a bad sign. Have you had her tested for worms recently?
Also check on the health of the kittens to make sure they are healthy, and that the constant moving hasn't caused them injury - the necks could have scratches from your cat dragging them around.
If this behavior continues contact your vets office and talk to someone there about it, they may be more helpful and recognize symptoms of an underlying problem.

I have fostered a total of 45 cats to date, 6 of which were nursing mothers and EVERY single one of them had gas. I believe it's part of being a nursing Mom. Feed her as much as she'll eat since this takes a lot out of her and schedule an apt. with your vet to make sure she's doing all right.
