Avid Free DV. It's more powerful than Movie Maker and it's free.

Those movie maker and imovie software is already good, since they are easy to use. Other then that you can opt for more professional such as Pinnacle Studio or Adobe Primere / Adobe After Effects.

It all comes down to your budget. If it's free, then obviously, you get what you pay for...or don't pay for... If you do have funds, you can't go wrong with Final Cut, but it's pricey.
