So the beast with 7 heads and ten horns representing kingdoms of the earth (world empires) will throw the harlot (world empire of false religion) off of it's back and completely devour her. Is this not true? So, to me, that is a warning of impending destruction of false religion.

Yes,it does state that, but how many really have gotten out of "Babylon the Great"? I left her a long time ago, finding the faith that is no longer a part of Christendom.
Soon the "wild beast" (governments) mentioned in Revelation will completely turn against Christendom and destroy her.
That is why God's Word warns all people to get out of Christendom and all false religion now!!

According to Jehovah's Witness literature, Babylon the Great is false religion. It "fell" back in 1919, according to them. Strange that false religion is still around, since Revelation says that it would be completely destroyed in a very short period of time after falling.

Here are some other things that Jehovah's Witnesses have said about the 'impending destruction' of Christendom:

The Finished Mystery, page 485:

"also, in the year 1918, when God destroys the churches wholesale and the church members by millions, it shall be that any that escape shall come to the works of Pastor Russell to learn"

The Finished Mystery, page 513

"In the year 1918, when Christendom shall go down as a system to oblivion..."

The Nations Shall Know that I am Jehovah, page 216

"Shortly, within our twentieth century, the "battle in the great day of Jehovah" will begin against...Christendom

Can anyone say "false prophets"?

Yes, but unfortunately, the "Whore" will be replaced with the Antichrist's own brand of religion: he will demand worship, as if he was God (2 Thes. 2:4). This is known as the "abomination of desolation."

Peace.
