This could be symptomatic of an ulcer or irritable bowel syndrome (also known as a spastic colon). You need to discuss this with your doctor; you might have to go for tests, like a barium enema or an EGD. The best thing to do before going to your doctor is to write down a list of symptoms, exactly when they occur and what happens. Knowing these specifics could help your doctor narrow down possible causes.

Problems with the organs in the abdominal region i.e. the digestive system, liver, gall bladder, pancreas, appendix and kidney could be the main reasons for a bad stomach ache. Gastroenteritis can give you a severe stomach ache, while stomach pain from cancer may only be mild. I found a lot of great information on causes of stomach pain and its treatment at http://tinyurl.com/l9k9x

Go to your doctor and ask him to set you up for an uppr GI. They will make you drink some seltzer and then some barium. They will be able to see because they X-ray you as you drink. It sounds like the early symptoms of an ulcer. I woke up one morning and felt extremely nausiated and ran to bathroom and threw up some blood from my stomach, it scared the crap out of me. Then the doctor said we need to see you immediatley, and then that scared me even more. Turns out it was all stress. It was right after my girlfriend left me, took my son away and started banging her boss. Then, I was going to court and it turned out it was'nt my son. So if your under intense stress, this could be the culprit.

The best bet would be to consult your doctor or try an elimination test yourself, it could be some ingredient in some of the foods you eat.
