Am I alone here but is he the worst horse race comentator on tv. Why doesn't he just stick to presenting C4 racing.

I'm definitely not a Derek fan, whenever I see him looking for "punters" to interview at the races I make myself scarce!
He is not a great commentator, but he is very enthusiastic. Some people like the fact that he is "down to earth", etc.
I agree though, Simon Holt would get my vote as best commentator around at the moment.
