Italian Moscato d'Asti gets my vote. I work in a wine store and often describe it as a "breakfast wine". Delicious! My favorite is Coppo, follwed by Armando. Your local wine shop should be able to order them, as they can be hard to find.

Well, if you have to drink wine, I would go with Champagne or sparkling wine. I like toad hollow vineyards "risque"...it is a little lower in alcohol and is so delicious...kind of a white heliotrope, baby powder, vanilla taste.

If you want something milder than that, make Sangria. It's great for breakfast.

Other than that, make some nice bloody marys using spicy hot V8 juice.

Try sparkling wines or Champagnes. They would compliment the traditional breakfast and not over power the food flavors.

well if you are drinking wine for breakfast I can't imagine you would be picky so go for anything cheap. Or if you are trying to keep the buzz from the previous night you could go with a 40 but if you are being serious (or maybe trying to impress someone) make mimosas aka champagne and orange juice

The Italians tend to drink a Frescati with their morning meals. This is a light, fruity white wine.

Now, yall, don't be snide! You've all had a mimosa with brunch before, I bet. I sure have.

Mimosas are champagne and orange juice, as noted. Other than that, any light-bodied white would work well. But if you're Southern, you might need a heavier red to stand up to the biscuits, gravy, country ham, sausages, bacon, grits, hash browns, pancakes and such. =D
