My dad is a retired army recruiter and we were just talking about this. The cut-off used to be 35, but since our brilliant President is burning out our armed forces they are needing more and more people and they have increased the age to somewhere in the 40's. Call your local recruiter and let them know about your degree. The military is always looking for people with specialized skills.
Good luck!

you do not should be an officer, even although many in this web site will allow you to recognize that's the portion of do once you've a level. anybody isn't cut back out to be an officer. in reality, interior the air stress, the disparity of respect between officer and enlisted isn't as tremendous because it really is in the different sevrices....a life-style ingredient. The air stress has continually had an abundance of officials so each and every time there's a relief in stress (RIF), the officials are those who get kicked out more beneficial so than the enlisted. it really is because the enlisted are those who quite "run" the air stress. as an party, anybody ought to be a pilot, yet that pilot is ineffective without the crew chiefs, fuels individuals, guns individuals, and boom operators that help the plane he flies. next time you note a fighter plane, seem and see whose call is on it less than the cockpit. it heavily isn't an officer's call. an excellent variety of enlisted have as a lot and typically more beneficial training that the officials they serve with. So it doesn't be a terrible theory to be enlisted with a level.

Current regulations require a waiver for "soldiers" between the ages of 30 and 34. Maximum age to join the army is now 42 years of age. To answer your question I or some needs to know if you are currently enlisted in the army, regardless rank.

You can check out www.armyocs.com for any question you have regarding COS. I, as the majority of members to this free site are current or former OCS graduates. Also, OCS candidates or enlisted applicants can join. I haven't read any information validating that 48 is the cut off to attend OCS.

And you can always call a recruiter.

if you have more than 6 years of prior service yes, but if you are 41 years of age now without any prior service than no, unless you go into the speciality field like law, medical or something like that. 35 is the maximum age of an officer without any prior service. a lot has changed recently though, i know you can enlist at 41 still, but officer obiligations are 8 yrs, 5 of it can be in the Individual Ready Reserve, IRR, there were couple of guys who were in their mid-late 30s, and one who was 41 when i went to Officer Basic Course but they had all gotten special exemptions because of prior service, one guy was a E-7, Sergeant First Class, when they just gave him a commission out of nowhere. check with you local recuirter if all else fails contact your Congressional Delegation, or big political hancho you know, they might be able to pull strings for you

don't know about the degree part i know for a fact the cut off age now is 42. it increased from 40 a few months ago. the reason i know this is that i recently tried to inlist in all branches of our armed forces(I'm 42). i was told at 41 there would be no problem, 42 is the cut off, so if you want this better go while you can.

Under Federal law it was age 35, but they have jacked that up. Don't think it's 48 though. You may be able to get a commission at age 41 if you have a degree. Best thing to do is call your nearest Army recruiter and ask him/her about applying for a commission. If they can't help you, they'll direct you to someone who can.

29 years old is the cut off date, unless you are a veteran of the armed services.

However, because rc numbers are down the Army is more than willing to work with potential OCS recruits.

You must possess a 4 year degree either way to join OCS
