If you are not, then you must believe this :-
Job 7:9 says who "goeth down to the grave shall come up no more."
Can your answer be that in another part of the Bible it says something more to your liking?
Which truth is the true truth,,,,Job's or Jesus'?
So, there's my evidence that the Bible is not truth....two truths cannot contradict each other, not even "Bible truths."
If the Bible is not true, then the God described in it is not true either.
For those of you who are going to suggest that John 3:16 is 'obviously' talking about the 'soul', which would be just pure conjecture, don't conveniently forget about Revelations where the dead will apparently be brought out of their graves to be judged!
PUH..LEEZZ don't just say that I am stepping on your 'religious foo-foo' ...you're answering MY question.

Christians should not cherry pick the bible, yet all of us do. We get in take what we can use against another or to justify ourselves and move on. Too most Jesus is a weapon, nothing more, nothing less. So we are not allowed to cherry pick, as love is to be our way, but all of us cherry pick.

Only what the Bible affirms as true is taken as truth. The Bible accurately records people making false statements. Here Job is lamenting his condition. He has been allowed to suffer as a test/demonstration of his faith in God. He cries out in agony. This is not being stated as a truth, but an accurate reflection of someone in great pain. All people go through great valleys in life, the book of Job is meant to be a guide through these.
Similar examples include the statements at the beginning of Ecclesiastes, "everything is meaningless" and "there is nothing new under the sun". These are laments of someone feeling existential angst. At the end the writer concludes that God imparts meaning to life.
One has to be careful reading the poetry books to make sure the statement is being affirmed by the Bible or merely recorded. The book of Job records a series of conversations, and usually the speaker is speaking for himself, not God. Most of Job's friends assumed he was being smitten as a punishment from God for some secret sin and urged him to figure out what it was and fess up. This was not the case.

Verse 9
[9] As the cloud is consumed and vanisheth away: so he that goeth down to the grave shall come up no more.
No more — Never until the general resurrection. When we see a cloud which looked great, as if it would eclipse the sun, of a sudden dispersed and disappearing, say, Just such a thing is the life of man, a vapour that appears for a while and then vanisheth away.

You are using one line from the book of Job to try to prove a point that is not in there. The next line says, "He shall never return to his house, nor shall his place know him anymore." Read the whole chapter and then you may understand what Job was talking about. When this body dies things are not the same but the spirit does not die. Regarding Revelations and those who will stand before God and be judged. That is the people who by their own choice rejected the free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Go back and read the first 8 verses of Job 7... the context and meaning are clear... you deliberatly try to take out of context.. a tired trick of the baiter...
John 3:16 is talking about eternal life. All have immortal life. Only those who those who accept God's Call through Jesus The Christ will spend their eternity with Him in Heaven... the mortal flesh can not go into Heaven... it is left behind... only the soul goes on and then receives a new immortal body.
The Bible of The True Christian Faith is not for the non-believer... unless you accept the leading of The Holy Spirit you will find nothing in it for you..

people have been twisting the bibles words for there own means ever seince the thing was invented, it would seem to me that alot of the stuff written in the bible is open to interpetion and it is that kind of vauge stuff that makes it possible to twist around what you believe or are supposed to be like .......... its a mess and people always have there own spin on the bible .........I see your point and to meit has a certian amount of validity,,,,I know for a fact that people ""cherry pick '' the scriptures and then use it as a means to try and controll the actions of others ,,,,,,, I was reading the other day where Jesus wasnt killed during his crucifixion he was merely druged by a select few of his followers so the people trying to crucify him would think he was dead, this would explain his sudden departure the tomb, and people seeing him would think it were a mircle................ I just dont know man ......I am sure you will stir up a major pissing fest with your question , although it is a good one .....

to respond to the superb component of your question first, homosexuality changed into and is treated so negatively is because it changed into operating rampant and corrupting entire cities and societies of that aspect, a lot because it really is now. eating particular ingredients and donning particular cloths no longer note in spite of the indisputable fact that it really is glaring different sins nevertheless do and one in each of them is homosexuality. You quoted all OT verses yet you of route both are not attentive to the actual shown reality that homosexuality is condemned contained in the NT to boot or you do not favor to work out it. study right here verses as they pertain to homosexuality and different sins that are condemned. Romans a million:26-27, a million Corinthians 6:9-10, a million Timothy a million:8-11. final analysis, sin is sin and the outcomes will be an identical for any unbeliever who dies in those sins.

It's obvious that you haven't read the bible. Jhn 3:16 AND Job 7:9 are not even close to what you fail to interpret. Try again! or quit embarrassing yourself and move on.............
