The scarlot-colored "wild beast with seven heads and ten horns," which represents the world governments and the UN will soon turn on Babylon the Great harlot, the world empire of false religion.
Many would say that bigotry, wickedness, inhumanity, and willful ignorance have marked most of the world’s religions throughout history. Their view is that religion simply poses as a benefactor of mankind—that under its facade of virtue and holiness, it is in reality full of hypocrisy and lies. (Matthew 23:27, 28.) “No statement is more common in our literature than that religion is of peculiar value in connection with civilization,” says A Rationalist Encyclopædia. “And none is more massively discredited by the facts of history,” it continues.
Pick up any newspaper today, and you will find almost endless examples of religious leaders who preach love, peace, and compassion but who fan the flames of hatred and invoke the name of God to legitimize their brutal conflicts. No wonder many people feel that religion is more often than not a destructive force in life.
“WHEN religion is not encouraging strife it is acting as a drug which numbs the human conscience and fills the human brain with escapist fantasies. . . . It causes human beings to be narrow, superstitious, full of hatred and fear.” The former Methodist missionary who wrote that added: “These charges are true. There is bad and good religion.”—Start Your Own Religion.
Yet, who can deny the facts of history? To a large extent, religion—defined as “the service and worship of God or the supernatural”—has a shocking record. It should enlighten and inspire us. More often than not, however, what it does is engender strife, intolerance, and hatred. Why is that?
It certainly is not just Christendom that has given religion a poor reputation. Think of the fundamentalist versions of “militant piety,” for example, that former nun Karen Armstrong says have been spawned by “every major religious tradition.” According to Armstrong, one crucial test of any religion is that it should lead to “practical compassion.” What has been the record of fundamentalist religions in this regard? “Fundamentalist faith,” she writes, “be it Jewish, Christian, or Muslim, fails this crucial test if it becomes a theology of rage and hatred.” (The Battle for God—Fundamentalism in Judaism, Christianity and Islam) But is it only the “fundamentalist” brand of religion that has failed this test and become “a theology of rage and hatred”? History shows otherwise.
Satan has, in fact, built up a world empire of false religion, identified by rage, hatred, and almost endless bloodshed. The Bible calls this empire “Babylon the Great, the mother of harlots and of the disgusting things of the earth,” and it is pictured as a prostitute who rides on the back of a beastlike political system. It is noteworthy that she is held accountable for “the blood . . . of all those who have been slaughtered on the earth.”—Revelation 17:4-6; 18:24.
So it is only partly true that religion lies at the root of all of mankind’s problems. False religion does. Yet, God intends to remove all false religion very soon now. (Revelation 17:16, 17; 18:21) His command to anyone who loves justice and righteousness is: “Get out of her (that is, Babylon the Great, the world empire of false religion), my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins, and if you do not want to receive part of her plagues. For her sins have massed together clear up to heaven, and God has called her acts of injustice to mind.” (Revelation 18:4, 5) Yes, God himself is deeply offended by religion that ‘encourages strife, numbs the human conscience, fills the brain with escapist fantasies, and causes people to be narrow-minded, superstitious, and full of hatred and fear.’
In the meantime, God is gathering into the pure religion those who love truth. It is the religion that adheres to the principles and teachings of a loving, just, and compassionate Creator. (Micah 4:1, 2; Zephaniah 3:8, 9; Matthew 13:30.) You can be part of it. If you would like more information on how to identify pure religion, feel free to contact Jehovah’s Witnesses at the local Kingdom Hall. Or visit http://www.watchtower.org

Wouldn't that have been more likely under Lenin, Stalin, and Chairman Mao? If a government destroying religion was a sign of anything other than political change, then the Tribulation would have begun under Maoist China...

The government is becoming more and more false religion. Look at how people constantly watch it and make it god. The false religion that is as of now, IS being obliterated by the false religion of government.
Right now the republican party has people going from church to church dressed as ministers telling people how to vote. And starting committees in the church to collect money for the Republican party. These reports are in the news NOW. With this going on, there is no longer, a separation of church and state, but rather a state church. If the church is involved in politics in any way, it stands to lose, its tax exempt status.
What would the church do, this day, IF Jesus appeared and announced Himself. Would the church allow the loss of its power base? Would the church, even be needed, with Jesus here?. How long would Jesus live, given this scenerio.
Now add to that, The power base that the government does, as well as the politiions and the millionaires. Ask yourself this question: How long would Jesus survive? The answer is already in your hearts.
The church hears confessions of hitmen. Then gives them absolution. Two weeks later, the same person, is in the confessional again, once again repeating the words "Father forgive me for I have sinned". Given the strong ties between the catholic church, and the sicilian organization, Do you think it impossible, that the church could have someone hit, Like Jesus? To protect their own power base.
Mankind is a violent and petty creature. Prone to protecting, that which he has built at the expense of others. Look at Silverstien, A gentleman that owned the trade towers. He is now 7,000,000,000 $ Richer. Due to the fact that planes have taken the buildings down. Buildings that would have cost, in the millions, to have asbestus removed, and be renovated, and upgraded. Silverstien got double his insurance settlement because it was two planes and two buildings. Over 4,000 people died for this. A good return on a good investment I would say. Silverstien, which has been proven, had bought the insurance on his buildings 3wks before the planes hit the buildings, in the personna that if a "Terrorist attack" happened, he would get reimbursed. Since it was two acts of "Terrorism", One for each plane, He got double.
You tell the members of the families that lost their family members that didnt get half of what Silverstien did, that thats payment for a lost human being. A lost soul, and more so, a Lost Loved One.
Building 7, housed several files, on millionaires who had defrauded the Federal Trade Commision. As well as, Headquartering the C.I.A, the F.B.I, and the Trade Commision Offices. All of these records were destroyed, when Building 7, which was NOT hit by a plane, "mysteriously" collapsed.
Two weeks before 9/11 The buildings were evacuated. And all power shut down, including power to the sercurity cameras. Several unknown work men had been seen in and out of the building, moving heavy materials. Reports of workers in the Trade Towers, stated that they heard on other floors construction going on above them, on floors that were "supposedly" supposed to be vacant. The workers were fearful to even go check it out. The dust that settled into the building after words was thick, grey concrete dust. As if drilling had taken place. The owner of the Trade Towers was informed of the condition of the buildings, and was not willing to do anything to help the bulding get to code. Then the buildings suddenly come down in a "terrorist attack".
George Bush supposedly had seen the first plane hit the first tower, yet NO news crew had assended on the scene. The first plane hitting the building was captured on tape from an outsider that was video taping something other than origenally planned by them. They just happened to catch it. Plus George Bush in an interveiw with the children after 9/11, clearly stated, that he watched the first plane fly into the building on a monitor. Since the media was not there yet, How could he possibly have seen the first plane hit???. Why did he put in his journal on September 10th that "terrorists" had flown planes into the Trade Towers, unless he knew ahead of time?.
Look up an article from the Rumsfeld Commision, called A New Pearl Harbor, in which he states, he can get money for the military, but what the US needs to push this through, is a new disaster, A New Pearl Harbor.
Please see the link below. Please watch it in its entirity.
I do not ask you, to believe Me. Only believe what your eyes are showing you. You are intelligent people, draw your own conclusions, and then for Gods sake, act on them.
Who are you going to believe George Bush, or your lying eyes????

To witness the end of false religion (Catholicism, Baptist, Muslim, Hindu, Judaism, Presbyterian, and thousands and thousands of others) will be a time of great joy. For too long those false religions have blinded people's minds and driven people away from the true God, Jehovah, and his true worship. People scoffing at the coming end of false religion......we can only imagine what will be running through their minds when they watch these things happening around them.

The way I see it, the world's governments are the ones creating the world empire of false religion. Or the world empire of religion, to remove the tautology.

Only one religion I know of wants to kill anyone who offends their prophet. People are entitled to go and stop it when missiles are rained down on them, and we Americans have stupidly elected an idiot. But we will correct that shortly.
The president of Iran has all but said that once he has enough bombs, he will exterminate a people whom he thinks hasn't suffered enough nor have a right to exist in the first place. But hey, Mohammad killed anyone who wouldn't admit that he was a prophet, so he's right in keeping with his religion's traditions.
When he does, what do you think will happen?
Goodbye Iran.

There has never been in the history of man 100 years of peace. why? Because there is always some idiot in power in some country who is never happy with leaving things as they are. If other countries want to kill themselves over religion, boundaries or oil then let them have at it. the minute you poke your nose in you bring the war to your own people!
Everyone should mind their own business and live their own lives in their own country and provide for their own people!
Mans problem is technology, greed, and ego! Deadly combination!
