What?! Thats unbelievable! Regardless of how he meant it you could have taken it differently especially being a paying customer there's no excuse for supposedly joking like that!

If a guy joked like that with me when I was buying coffee I'd report him to the management. That's not a joke, that's sexual harrassment. Yeah, he was thinking out loud and speaking with a mouth attached to no brain!

Guys can be very into jokes but usually when they do it that way it has some truth.if a guy who doesnt know you said that to you it means he is defenatly interested in you and his coment was a way of transmiting his message to you.i say try see him again and see what happens you never know maybe you will get more than just a coffee next time hahaha.good luck.and ask him for his phone number if he seems interested in you next time!!!

The guy was just being a dick. A real man wouldn't do that in a public place, especially if he was the employee of the establishment. I would have said something to the manager. If I found that some guy did that to my girl, there would be serious issues.

Love is the answer to everything. All you ever need is love,
communication and understanding. That's what I figured out so
far. If you are down, you need to get up and start doing something with
your life. Don't need to be shy, be straight forward and allways say what
you want and expect from the others.

He was probably really thinking it. Doesn't mean it wasn't meant as a joke as well.

(All the people who think it's sexual harassment - I don't get it. Are you saying that anytime anyone ever flirts with someone then it's harassment? Seems a bit unfair.

At least one of the perks of working somewhere like that is that you do get to interact with customers sometimes.)

I would have told him you didn't appreciate him humore this morning and asked for his manager. Regardless if they joke like that with friends, that's not a way to act toward a stranger and a customer of your business no less! If guys think that way, keep it to yourself. It's like he was running around with his pants at his ankles, ya know?!!?

Men think some of the stupidest things are funny. Like harassing women. Yes, they joke like that.

I would have cursed him out (unless of course he was cute, and then I would have said yeap whip cream all over with my husband)!
