Okay, i got my wisdom teeth pulled and developed a real bad infection where i almost died and had to get drained from a real bad abscess. Was in the hospital for 4 days. Well, im home and tryin to get better and all of a sudden, its coming back & im in pain. I called the oral surgeon and he called me back (my reg doc is great, hes just off today) and he called me with an attitude like i had inconvienced him. I almost got smart with him but i didnt. Hey i only care about 1 thing and thats me not having another near death exp. with this thing. I could careless wether hes had a bad day or not. Should i say something to my reg doc about how i was treated? This has been very tramatic for me. I was blown off.

See a lawyer and file a lawsuit.
That will get his attention, when he has to leave his office to go to court.
Then just kick back and let him smart off to the judge.

yeah, say something so your doc doesn't recommend him to other people.. I've heard of tons of stories, and experienced a few myself.. where the specialist doctors are just plain out rude, like they are too good for you, even though you are paying them tons of money (or insurance is, either way they are making some cash). and who wouldn't be worried after a near death experience if the pain came back! hope all goes well for you and you don't have any more trips to the ER!

All professionals should be polite. Sometimes surgeons forget this -- they are used to their patients being asleep. There is no excuse for the doctor to be insensitive to you. You can let your doctor know, it may or may not help. Try to focus on healing.
Good Luck and Best Wishes. Get well soon!

We had the same problem. My husband had a tooth pulled and the guy was a real A*S. I had the same guy years ago. We complained to our regular dentist and it turns out that MANY people have complained. Our dentist is not going to refer people to him anymore due to all the complaints. They wont be able to help you now but maybe the next patient wont be treated that way.

I would make sure NEVER to go to this oral surgeon again and would definitely tell my dentist (or whoever referred this oral surgeon to you) the story. Also, tell family and friends...the best advertisement doctors get is word of mouth, so make sure that goes both ways.

absolutely! you were treated wrong and you regular dentist should know. If he values you as a human being and a patient he will take care of this situation. if he doesn't well then start looking for a new dentist there are plenty out there. good luck.

Yes you should and that son of a ***** should not be ugly to you. You pay him and pay him well. There are other doctors. Let his staff know what a jerk off he is too and that they might not have jobs down the line cause he or she is a royal turd!

If the surgeon saw you, you were not blown off. Being rude is not being blown off. There is no excuse for his behavior, and you should mention it to the doctor that referred you, but from what you've said, it sounds like he took care of you... not blew you off.

You can either carry that resentment around with you or drop the rock and get it off your chest. Up to you.
