That is a hard question to answer not knowing your situation. Personally I got over having low self esteem by getting rid of people in my life who beat me down. People who make you feel bad about yourself are not people you should be around. I personally found a man who gave me more confidence in myself and i married him. Now i can stand up to those people (relatives)who downgraded me for so long.

Learn to love yourself and have value of yourself.

For starters, get over shyness which I assume you have.....when your not afraid of people, your confident around them usually. If your afraid, even very self-confident people appear weak.

Second, hit the gym....it will help quite a bit as you'll have visible value and people's opinion of you will reflect that...plus being a heatlhy body will be valuable in it's own right since you feel great and look great....

Begin by loving yourself. Every morning look in the mirror and tell yourself that you love you. Fake it until you make it.

Put all judgment aside. Judging others and yourself can only be destructive. When any negative thoughts enter your mind, get in the habit of stopping them and replacing them with positive thoughts. It is your choice. You can do it.
