Do you use a kitchen utensil for another purpose than what it is for?

Sometimes I ask my daughter to scratch my back with a teflon slotted spoon.

I use a plastic spoon sometimes for a spatula if I don't have one clean.

I use a coffee mug for a measuring cup

I beat on a hard to open jar lid with a butter knife to loosen it.

I use a knife sometimes as a screwdriver.

I use my old fashioned potato masher to tenderize tough cuts of meat. I have another old-time kitchen gadget, a slaw cutter, which also does double duty for making homemade ham salad or pimento cheese.

And if my husband were here, he'd tell you to match the indentations on his head to that nice old maple rolling pin that I inherited from my mom. He'd be joking, of course!

i use a masher( for mashing potatoes) to wash my clothes that need handwashing so i dont make my hands sore through detergant or because the water too hot
