Honestly I thought it was bad etiqette to recieve gifts after the 1st marriage. I didnt think you were supposed to register. If theyve both been married before, you dont go to a Department Store and register for a whole bunch a crap again. If people want to send gifts they can. But youre not supposed to get another house full of gifts.

If they are registered someplace, go there and check it out. Some places have a service that can be called, then informed of your price range and/or interest. But, money is always welcome. They can use it on the honeymoon, or to buy whatever is wanted/needed. Actually, I have NEVER heard of anyone not liking money for a wedding gift.

A gift card would be fine. They could get what they want. When I was getting married for the second time, this is what we requested if someone wanted to give a gift.

Gifts are generally given to the new couple to let them know of your well wishes and that you are sending them off with the gift as a token. So, yes, get them something if you feel like it. Not because you feel like you have to but because you want to.

The idea here is "a token of your regard and good wishes." As they probably have all of the standard "wedding gift" things, something simple and possibly decorative that you think they'd like.

Maybe a relationship book on making marriage work.
Uh, gift cards are nice, maybe for a restaurant, home improvement store or a linen/bedding store.
I wouldn't spend a lot of money on a gift, though. I'm sure by now they have everything they need.

If you are invited to the wedding and they are paying for you to eat at the reception, I would buy something small. Maybe a nice picture frame or candle holders.

As long as the person's spouse had committed fornication they are free to remarry and shoud be intitled.
Just my thought. How good of a friend also makes a difference also I guess.
