how do i check my messages on my nextel phone from another phone?

The only way I can do it is from my nextel phone.
Is there a way I can check it from my house phone?

Switch off the phone. Call it from your home phone and when the answering machine comes on press star or number sign, which ever.

Call your nextel and hit *, then enter your password.

you can call your cell phone from any other phone line and when your voice message picks upi all you need to do is push star.The voice will then prompt you to push in your code and then you can get all your messages,,This works with any cell phone.
