I am Pro-life but only because my birth mother told me that if in 1949 abortions were legal I wouldn't be here.
I am a woman so I believe in a womans right to choose but believe that choice should never be abortion unless there are extenuating circumstances. If you want to have sex you know there's a risk. If you got raped only a sadist would want you to keep that baby.
My husband and I have had 5 children of outr own and adopted 38 children over the last 30 years. The youngest was 1 and 1/2 and the oldest was just shy of 6. So I would adopt a child over 2 years old. Why because when I see them I remember that if my mother had an abortion I would not be here and if my adopted mother didn't care for me I would have grown up without love. If this had happened I would be bitter and lonely.
Each child I have been a mother to has added to society. I have not ever had a child arrested and our family has never had a teen pregnancy or an STD. But I do have a car mechanic, a dentist, a police officer, a park ranger, and a sub shop owner for kids. I also have a soldier, a doctor and a computer programmer. I also have... never mind.
I do not believe in the death penalty except in the most henious of crimes, Ted Bundy, the Green River Killer, Charles Manson.
I believe sex-education should be taught in school but that the parents should control both the material covered and the age at which they feel it is appropriate for their child.
Just remember if I take the opposite position from you it would be that no one who wasn't adopted has the right to be pro-choice. Watch out for what you ask for.

If you are pro-life do you believe in the death penalty? NO
If you are pro-life what are your thoughts on teaching sex-ed in school? I think it is good because it teaches kids how to avoid getting pregnant so it doesnt put them in the position to have to make a choice to keep or get rid of their baby
If you are pro-life have you had children of your own? Yes, 2
If you are pro-life and have had children of your own, why are you selfish? You support and preach adoption so we have foster homes FILLED with unwanted children. Why don't you want (or have) the non-aborted babies? My children weren't planned and I intend on adopting when I'm in the financial position to do so.
Why did you have a child of your own if you knew that there were so many children up for adoption, don't you think you could have done another child good by adopting them? Read the previous answer
If you are pro-life, would you adopt a child older the two years old? Why or why not? Yes I would, I think it is bad that they get stuck in the foster care system just because they are older, they need loving homes too.

I am pro-life...no I don't believe in the death penalty...yes sex ed should be taught in school so our youth can get educated on "safe sex" which will hopefully reduce the number of unwanted pregnancies...yes I have children of my own and I don't consider myself to be selfish at all! I chose to bring each one of them into this world, to put their needs above my own, to give them my time, my love, and anything else they needed. What is selfish is those who abort these precious babies because they "weren't ready", "couldn't party", "it would interrupt their life". Quite frankly, if you aren't ready to take on the responsibility of having a baby...then you shouldn't be having sex! or atleast unprotected sex. There are many couples still waiting to adopt. If I were in a financial situation that I could adopt, I would love too! And yes, I would adopt a child over 2yrs because all children, not just babies, not the love and support of a good family!

I'm pro-life and I believe in the death penalty. The death penalty is for criminals that have lived a life and taken another. Unborn children don't take the lives of other human beings.
I'm pro-life and not a huge fan of sex ed in school, however in this day and age, when parents don't teach it at home, it's necessary to teach it at school to prevent those unwanted pg that are ended in abortion, unwanted children and/or babies raising babies.
I'm pro-life and have children of my own. I'm not selfish and I don't preach adoption...I all for prevention. We have foster homes filled with children because their parents cared more about themselves, not because they chose to have a baby instead of aborting it. There are many women who become pg and instead of aborting it, chose adoption to give that baby a life they couldn't.
I'm pro-life, but mostly I'm pro-prevention. That's where it starts. If these pg were prevented to begin with, abortion would be non-existent.
I don't shove my beliefs down other people's throats. I'm not the one protesting infront of abortion clinics and judging people for being pro-life and having children of thier own. If a woman chooses to have an abortion...that's her CHOICE, and she has to live with that decision and the concenquences that go along with it...same with a woman who CHOOSES NOT to have an abortion. You play, you pay.

I am pro-life. I believe in the death penalty, yes. Only for crimes that I see as needing to be jusitified that way. Sex ed should be taught sophmore year. They're ******* nuts to give it to middle schoolers or elem. kids. It just makes them curious. I don't have kids all my own yet, but I hope to soon. Who says I'm selfish? There are ALOT of unwanted kids, true. But not many young kids as compared to older kids(are put in foster care). There are reasons kids don't get adopted. Don't be a fuckard, you idiot. I'm pro-life and I would love to adopt. Everyone is different.

Yes- I have children and am pro-life- how does that make me selfish? Maybe it's selfish to have unprotected sex as use abortion as a from of birth control- or maybe it's just stupid.
And there a plenty of folks who want to adopt- but too many babies are being killed before their birth.
Keep in mind there may be many foster children- but when people abuse or mistreat these children, they WILL be difficult to place. I had a foster sister who was raised for a while by birthparents who were very cruel to her. By the time she reached us, she was suicidal at 15 and wanted me, as a 7 year old at the time, to cut her wrists. That's why many foster children are hard to place. Many of us have love to give but don't want our children to go through that kind of turmoil.

Of course I would adopt a child over two. Unfortunately I am bi-polar so I can't be a foster parent.
The real question is Why are people adopting babies from Russia & China?
B/c there are not enough kids to adopt in the USA b/c abortion is legal.

I'm not sure about the death penalty thing.
I think sex ed should be taught at home. I know a lot of parents don't teach it, but I want to be the one who teaches it to my child. I don't think schools should pass out condoms. If a child feels he/she is ready to have sex, then he/she should by his/her own condoms.
I am pregnant right now. Unplanned, but I am married. We've thought about adoption.
I think if someone isn't ready to have a baby, then they shouldn't have sex. We weren't ready in terms of our selfish desires, but us as a husband and wife we are completely in a good state to have a child.

People who are pro-life activists are not happy obeying their own beliefs. They will not rest until they force *everyone* to follow their belief systems.
And of course the vast majority of them don't adopt or foster kids. They're the hyocrite kind of chuch people who preach what they were taught on Sunday & don't follow much of it themselves.
They offer no answers to where all these unwanted fetuses will go. They just want to force their beliefs down your throat, even on people who don't or can't be parents.
I feel everyoen has a right to believe in pro-life or pro-choice... however, don't force your beliefs down on me,
