Is it trashy to be raised Jewish and not be religious??
Of course not ;therefore it is not trashy to be an unmarried mother. In reality it all boils down to how YOU feel. If you feel trashy , then others can see it too. Be positive and don't worry about what others think, you will never make everyone happy. So just do your best at everything and live for yourself and now your child.
Peace and love your way.

Being pregnant is not trashy, its pregnant. What you do now is important. Please don't get married just to "not be trashy" or give the baby a father or for financial reasons. In this day and age, it is not imperative to get married in order to have a baby. Instead let this situation make you a better person. Get an education, get a job. What you decide to do about your baby is up to you. I hope you decide to keep your child and show him how to grow up a decent human being. It is not an easy task, but well worth the effort. At some point, I hope you learn that it is not so important what we "feel" but what we know to be real. You need to overcome your feelings and do what is right. Sometimes our feelings will lead us wrong. Good luck.

Kids are a lot less of a hassle than a wedding, marriage and possibly a divorce all rolled into one. I have always wanted kids, but never have had any real desire to be married.
At least after 18 years, kids will (hopefully) move out and have their own life.
You are not trashy, screw those that say you are and whatever other rude and vindictive comments that may spew from their mouths. If they haven't lived it, then they have no right to judge. "those who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones....."
Sometimes, one parent can do just as good, if not better than, 2 parents. Especially if the relationship is unhealthy. Selfish of you people say? Single parents are the most UNSELFISH people there are. They give their life to their kids. I would die for my chidren. I go without so my kids can have better or more. We are not a "drain on society". I provide for my children and they are happy, healthy and well adjusted. If they are sick, I miss work. If they need something, I do what I have to to make sure they have it. Bills are paid, groceries are bought, utilities are on and love is flowing.
It is your life, live it as you see fit and to he** with the rest of the world!!!

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!
I spend 12 years in a relationship and we had 3 beautiful children and were never married. I did not feel the need to have a white wedding. My kids are respected, I am respected. I will be honest my mate of 12 years and I are no longer together and there was not MESSY divorce to go through. Maybe some of you don't agree, but this day and age you are only a trashy in your mind.
NO ONE has the right to judge you and your precious new life on the way.
peace~

Actually, it is a moral thing and what makes a person trashy is the person.
Trashy is, but far from limited to, having several children, never married, and all of them have different names and none of them have a clue who the father is. That's a little hard to get around, even for a movie star or millionaire.

I'm a single parent, and have no desire to ever marry. My son has lots of great male role models, and I love him above all else.I work and go to school, and he doesn't want for anything(well, maybe that new X-Box, but that's another issue entirely.) It has been my experience that the only time being a single parent is "trashy" is when you can't recall the child's paternity because there are x amount of guys it COULD be. Don't let society dictate how you feel about yourself. It's your life, and your child's life. You are the one who has to live with yourself, not society. And to let you know, I know ALOT of women who are better off not being married to the father, if that's applicable to your situation.

Too many people often just live in the moment. I don't know whether I'd say "trashy". Cart before the horse though.
Too many people are living for themselves in every aspect & don't stop to think of the consequences of their actions. If your BF is not around the child will miss out. You can only live your life & raise your child the best you can.
You need to come to terms in your head about the whole "trashy" thing before the child gets older because they'll pick up on that too.

You're not trashy, just made a mistake. Now is your chance to remedy your mistake. Put the child up for adoption. There are 400,000 couples waiting to adopt new born children in the US. Give this child a chance to experience a home with a mom and a dad. This would be wonderful.

You'd be trashy if you had five, lived in a trailor and depended on welfare. You aren't trashy. I wonder why you feel this way? Be happy that you're going to be a mom! Don't let other people's ignorance get you down. There will always be SOMEONE that thinks badly of you. Shrug 'em off.

You are not trashy at all. Many women have had children without being married. Would people rather that you were married to "just anyone" rather than be single? The people who care about you would not want that for you. As far as the other people: Who cares what they think?
