Well, the daycare my little girl goes to is outrageous, and due to my crappy situation and overpriced living I am on daycare assistance (which you can apply for through your local DFS office) I am paying $55 a week WITH assistance.. the full amount without it is $144 a week which I think is too much. Is the kid potty trained? Cause that makes a big difference, it's usually cheaper if they are. Also.. try checkign out preschool, it's usually cheaper. Or Head Start if you are income eligable it's FREE. Another factor is wether you are using a Center daycare, or a home daycare.. in the home daycares are usualyl cheaper but they don't have as much interaction like group learning and such.. but if I took my girl there I could pay as low as $50 a week.. but I don't want that.. she loves the Centers.

Usually it depends on where you live. Most of the time the big more established companies charge more than the "home -grown businesses". So if you find a new daycare check it out. Or you could ask like a collage kid that takes on-line classes and lives near you to watch your child, usually they'll ask for unbelievably affordable stuff. Once I found a a daycare for twenty bucks a week. but it also depends on the needs of of the child. Whatever you choose, good luck!

Some of you are lucky. Here in New Jersey by the New York border it can run from $800 - $1500 a month to find a decent day care. If you find a nice place with a small staff and a decent amount of children you could find one cheaper.
My advice: Check around. Ask people in your area - not on yahoo answers - if they bring their children anywhere. Find out from the town and the state that they are licensed to care for children. Make sure their staff are qualified. Interview members of the daycare and get a tour of the facilities. It's always better to be precautious when it comes to children.

I charge $120 a week for full time ages 2 and up (in Iowa) this price includes all activites, breakfast, lunch and two snacks. This is about $10-20 lower than the licensed daycare centers in town.

In this area, the daycare is $32 a day for anything over 5 hours for that age. Includes meals and snacks.

If you take a low wage ..say 6.00 multiply it by 9 that is 54,
54a day mulitply by 5 days a week that is 270
270 a week ,,, I would say that 100.00 a week would be great espeically for the single parents out there that Don't have any other income to rely on . if you charge more your taking almost 50% of their check, which leaves them Nearly NOTHING to pay the rest of the bills, Get food, and extre curricular for the kids..
Please keep that in mind
thank you

It depends. I used to work at Kid's 'R Kids and they charged $140/ week for the 3 year old room with 20-25 kids in one room. Now I keep kids in my home and I would charge $85/week for a 3 year old which is actually cheap for in home childcare in my area. I live in suburban Atlanta.

What area are you? I am in Idaho and the average is $400 to $500 dollars a month. The price depends largely on your living area.
