Our top 5 would be banana, broccoli, sweet potato fries (home-made), avocado and pear. We usually don't do eggs or berries before 12 months only because of allergy history in family. My youngest did have blueberries before 12 months old as his brother dropped one and he picked it up and ate it before we could get it off him. So we continued letting him have them. Otherwise from what we have been advised by doctor & health nurses etc egg and berries are fine.

Soft Vegetables Soft cooked vegetables offer a healthy and safe first table food option for babies. Cook the vegetables until they are very soft. Remove any tough skins on the vegetables that could present a choking hazard. Mash or cut the vegetables into small pieces. Sweet potatoes, carrots and squash work well as cooked vegetable options. Alternatively, avocados offer a raw vegetable option that is soft enough for babies to eat. Choose an avocado that is very ripe so it is soft. Fruits Many fruit options are soft enough for babies to enjoy as a first table food. Let your baby try soft fruits raw. Peaches, berries, kiwi and bananas are some examples of soft fresh fruits that are ideal for babies. Strawberries are a soft fruit but are sometimes associated with allergies, so offer this food later. Mash the fruit or cut it into small pieces so the baby can eat it easily. You can offer harder fruits, such as pears and apples, in the form of applesauce or pearsauce. In addition, you can bake the fruits to soften them. Dairy Introduce dairy products into your baby's diet for a good source of calcium. Use caution when introducing dairy foods, as many babies have difficulty digesting dairy. Your baby may have a lactose intolerance or an actual milk allergy. Watch for signs of discomfort and digestive difficulties, such as diarrhea, excess gas or spitting up. Watch for skin rashes or swelling that can also indicate an allergy. Yogurt is a popular option for babies. Add mashed fruit to plain yogurt for a healthy dairy option. Read the labels of flavored yogurts. Many brands add lots of sugar to the yogurt, making them a less healthy option for your baby. Cheese is another good option for introducing dairy to a baby. Shredded cheese offers small pieces that are ideal for kids. Cottage cheese is another form of cheese that is easy for babies to chew and swallow. Pasta To add variety to your baby's table food lineup, serve her some pasta. Because wheat is a basic component in most pasta, avoid serving it to a baby who has had a reaction to cereals containing wheat or gluten. Cook the pasta until it is soft. If you prefer your pasta al dente, remove your portion from the water and cook your baby's pasta a few minutes longer. Mix the pasta with sauce or cheese for a more flavorful meal. Meat Meat adds iron to your baby's diet, making it a good choice for an early table food. Wait to introduce meat until your child is able to easily eat other finger foods so there is less of a choking risk. Choose softer meats for your baby. Chicken and ground meat work well. Cook the meat fully to prevent any contamination. Shred or puree the meat before offering it to your baby.
