Hi! I'm 28 weeks pregnant, and I think you are totally fine to be running. My doctor told me that miscarriages in the first trimester are typically caused by genetic abnormalities--so severe that the baby wouldn't make it anyway. It is typically beyond your control if you miscarry. Running is good for your health...especially so early. I think in a normal pregnancy all exercise is permitted at least until 12 weeks. I no longer run, but I do the eliptical & prenatal water aerobics. The exercise makes me feel better & it will help your body prepare for labor. Good luck!

Running should be fine, especially so Early in your pregnancy, but don't you have to worry about being kicked in the belly by the people you work with? I would reconsider my job choice for the remainder of the pregnancy. Or talk it over with your supervisor. Have other women remained employed while they are pregnant? I know you don't want to tell any one just yet, but your baby has to come before your job.

It is too early in your pregnancy to worry about how exercise will effect your baby. I was in basic training in the army when I found out I was pregnant. Wanna know when they told me? After I did a Physical Training Test(2 mile run, 30 sit ups, 12 push ups). I am now 35 wks pregnant and everything is fine. I look at it as, that baby has the most comfortable pent house sweet available to it. She/He is surrounded by stuff to cushion it. It is a lot calmer in the womb than outside!!

you need to talk to your doctor. It actually depends on your body type and how often you have exercised in the past. It is hard to say but if you are worried about loosing a baby then you might have to give up your job. I have worked wtih the handy capped before and it can be bad to be in direct contact with some of them. Be aware who is around you at all times, due to getting hit in the stomach or fallen on.

at this stage yeah. later, no.
If you've been doing it before you were pregnant you can do it while you're pregnant. But its not like you've been training and running every day a few miles, so just bolting after someone can pose a tripping falling hazzard which is dangerous later in pregnancy.
But for the first three months you're generally small and not out of balance. just dont do anything stupid or over heat.

If your body is used to a certain type of exercise then ,as long as you aren't high risk, there is no reason why you can't continue. I was able to keep working at my job, which required heavy lifting, up until a week before my son was born. Just watch out for anyone who hits. I have worked with developmentally disabled, and they have their bad days too.

you should be all right as long as you are not a high risk pregnancy. I was told i could still play basketball and 5 months pregnant. I am talking about high school basketball. The Dr. told me that.

In general, any physical activity/exercise during pregnancy is good for you and the baby. I belonged to a health club and exercised and swam until the ninth month. You should always check with your doctor, especially if you have any health problems.

You should be fine, but please check with your doctor - if you're in a high risk category, she may ask that you restrict your activity.
Many women exercise throughout their pregnancy. I know one who was running 5 miles a day until her 30th week. It depends on your pre-pregnancy fitness level. In general, you shouldn't let your heart rate exceed 160 or so for an extended period.

my wife's doctor told her she could just keep on doing whatever she was doing before.. but it's bad to start running when you're pregnant if you never ran before being pregnant..
