They, like all spiders, catch insects. Assuming you are talking about Daddy Long Legged Spiders and not Crane Flies?

Mine too i absolutly hate them, strait as i turn a light on i will see one fling around and they scare the **** outa me, i have to hit them with all sort to get rid of them i cant stand to touch them, some other things i really dont mind but daddy long legs dont look at that by they really frighten me, they are pointless do nothing and only last throughout September-thank god the months nearly over !!! Lol, good luck with your house xx

No use whatsoever, other than to continuously test the integrity of your windows by flying into them.

The really long-legged spiders referred to by another answerer are called harvestmen.

Believe it or not spiders do not bug me as much as ants do!
I freak out when I see more than one ant in my house going about their business.

I have alot of them in my house too but i sucked a couple up with hoover yesterday ....
