When you are distant with people close to you, and you unconciously ignore people close to you, (bf/gf) do you try and make up for it when you come out of the episode? Or do you just act like nothing happened, and go back to normal?

the people closest to you know what is going on and don't need to be made up to, they just want to see you better and that is enough for them --- some sort of normalcy is what you should shot for and not any over the top "I am so sorry for being that way, what can I do", just be yourself --- they wouldn't be there if they didn't care & understand the ups & downs

I do not TRY to make up for it, it sort of just happens. I don't even think about it I just find myself wanting to talk to everyone again. To be honest I don't have many close friends because of this, they just don't like having to deal with me being completely anti-social for a month and then wanting to be like best friends the next. I do have a few though that always stick around, I know they will always be there. My boyfriend too, he gets a little frustrated with it. But he has stuck around for a year and a half now. =)

Most of the time, I can't tell if I'm high or low...other people around me say that I'm either really social or really withrawn...I don't know if I'm bi polar but other people seem to think I am...as for you, why try to make up for something you can't control? Talk to your friends and try to make them understand your condition...so that they expect to never know what they're gonna get. : D Good luck.
