When I load the latest version, it says there is an older one on the pc and can't remove it----i look on trhe pc hard drive and cant find any programe that accoiates with it\/

There are instructions for manually removing Acrobat at adobe..
I.e. which files to delete etc.

Run a registry cleaner. There are still keys under Software\adobe for the old version.

nicely in case you trieing to position in some new version then it may ask its self do you want to deleted the former one. and attempt to uninstalled in initiate>all courses>locate adobie reader folder click on it>uninstall.
