My bf told me that he doesnt think it is possible to fully trust anyone, including me, and i got my feelings hurt. it bothers me bc i do fully trust him. I mean i have been hurt a lot by other men but i love him enough to fully trust him with everything in me. I am truly offended that he feels he cant trust me 100 percent. he says no matter how much i try hes always going to have a little doubt. do u think ihave a right to be upset?

I did tell him it upset me. he does this thing, when there is a situation that he doesnt want to talk about he just sits there. We talked about on about 3 occassions and I got very upset with him bc I would ask him a question and he would sit there, i wouldbe patient and try to give him time to think about it but then he does things like closes his eyes like hes sleeping.

Dump him.
It is he who cannot be trusted., and he's playing games with you, setting you up.
Tell him "I've been thinking about what you've said about trust, and, well, bye!"

Anyone...anyone will tell you that trust and communication are the 2 most important factors in any relationship. Forget Dr. Phil or Dr. Ruth. If there isn't any communication, what is there left and how can you establish trust. If you can't trust someone, why wait and get hurt. Establishing trust is something that takes time and I've received that advice from many people, many from this Q&A site. You have to be able to trust or there will always be doubt...and if in doubt, there is no doubt.

Sweetie you have a right to be VERY upset .Without trust you do not have anything .There is no way to have a relationship with out trust,it just will not work .He will always question you and sooner or later you are going to get really tired of it .But there is always roof for improvement in a relation and I think the two of you now know where you need to start and what you need to work on ...GOOD LUCK and GOD BLESS

HELL YEAH! you have the right! guys kill me with that! it's suppose to be 50/50! If you trust him evidently he hasn't done anything to make you not, and if you haven't done anything for him to assume he should be able to trust you also! Baby guys are gonna be guys no matter what! If there isn't trust in any relationship it's not gonna work! He's gonna continuously accuse you of somethin and from you past you don't need that! Find you someone that's gonna treat you equal. You need trust or you have nothing! GOOD LUCK!

YOu do have the right to be upset, but, he has the right not to trust anyone too, You have to look at how much he has been hurt in the past by others, you can't really blame him can you?

IMO, Trust is a major factor of any relationship. He's right, though...you can't fully trust someone...you don't know what they are about and doing until something happens.

Listen - things may have happened to him in his past that makes it hard for him to trust people. You can't change his past experiences but you can be a positive model of trust in his future. Be patient - trust is earned and takes time - and trust is everything.
Good luck!

yes absolutely!!i mean thats really hurting when you have given more than 100% into a relationship and been honest and loyal!
after all trust is the foundation of every relationship and when trust starts shaking then its a warning for you to reconsider!!
maybe your guy is insecured about you, well i dont see you doing anything more than being so loyal to build his trust....give it sometime and see where it leads you!!good luck!!

It will take years for him to trust you in a relationship. Believe me your moment of trust will be tested when he finds himself in a situation that you would need to help him out with.

Do not be upset. He probably trusts you more than he lets on. Trust is something that builds over time.
