Energy drinks are so expensive because they're tendy, just like the clothing that kids wear is so expensive. The price of the drinks will go down as the drinks become less popular.

Supply and Demand drive the prices for those drinks. High Demand is the main factor. Also those drinks are usually fortified with added vitamins which also drives the costs up.

I think they are addicting, kinda like coffee but worse. I drink them every once in a while but one time I drank a can of (now I can't remember the name) and I felt like I had just done 2 lines of coke.

It's basic supply and demand... as long as you (and others ike you) keep buying them at current prices, then they will continue to be high.. and probably increase... when the level of demand trails off, you will probably see a decline in the price as well..
