Yes I did ... !

Sold my wedding ring in a heartbeat ... after the divorce I thought about saving it for my daughter ... but I haven't had a single phone call, child support payment or Christmas present for her in years ... plus it was on my credit to begin with ... why should I save something for her that means nothing to me ... wanted some extra cash ... got tired of seeing it in my jewelry box and told my brother to sell it for me ... few hours later ... a few hundred dollars richer ... done with ... and don't ever have to worry about it again ... !

But every situation is different ... and every couple is different ... I don't think it's wrong to get rid of it and I don't think it's wrong if you want to save it ... whatever makes you happy is what you should do ... !

No - for the plain & simple reason that you will never get the fair amount of money value from a pawnbroker. Save up, find a really good jeweler with a good reputation, take the jewelry to him & ask him to reset it into something for YOU. Be it a necklace,
a new ring - whatever - you'll get much more pleasure out of it & it will make your ex nuts knowing that you've gotten something good out of it! lol

I don't see why not. If you don't have any ties to him after divorce. No children to leave the rings to. Right now is the time, anyway, that you will need extra cash.

probably, but be careful as he might be able to claim them. My sister got sued for her engagment ring after the guy called the wedding off, how lame is that, AND he WON!

Cheater or liar notwithstanding, you give it back if he bought it.
