A truth is something that can be elaborated upon, whereas a fact is a fact, nothing added and nothing taken away.

Truth is more versatile, fact is a static.
A truth is told, a fact is found.
So I believe truth and fact are complete seperate entities. Although I find some facts to be true, and some truths to be facts.

Generally no.

Thats a good question... heres my view:

Facts imply that there is imperical scentific data that proves that something is a fact.

Truth involves a viewpoint. Truth for one person may not be the same as truth for another. If three people see a car accident from different angles they may have different views of exactly what happened and all be speaking the truth.

I do believe that facts are true... but truths are not always facts.

truth is derived from a series or list of facts. Now, can someone gather up a list of facts and come to a false conclusio? Yes! It's done all the time. So, truth comes from facts, but facts do not necessarily lead to truth.

That absolutely does not make sense.

If something is true, then it is most indefinetly a fact. THINK ABOUT IT.
I doubt anybody will be able to think that one through.

Fact, truth, and law are all the same. Not man's law, but God's law, the universes law.

The LAW of gravity is true. It will never fail.
The LAW of gravity is a fact. It can never be explained away from existing.
Therefore, FACT=LAW=TRUTH=FACT

It depends.

In law, a jury finds "facts". They may be wrong, and the "fact" they find might not be the "truth", but for practical purposes, a group of people get together and determine what is a "fact" that has occured.

we could argue this all day.truth like beauty is in the eye of the believer,or rather the mind. and once some people consider a thing to be true they run around chanting it like it was a fact.i think a fact has something behind it to back it up,tangible proof.a truth is something more based on belief and faith.

What a great philosophical question. I am in awe of your brain! It is tough to decipher truth, and facts are vague because of how they are viewed individually.
It’s funny I always had a hypothetical thought that if God showed up and appeared before everyone what would we argue about then? I think you have answered my question!

BTW – God’s not showing up because he doesn’t exist….carry on!
