Depends on the "slurer"

Muslims should use "Infidel" while Xians should stick to "Heathen"
Personally I like to be called a "Heathen Infidel" or even better an "Infidelic Heathen"

Aaaaarrrr, I took too long to answer. At least I was beat by other Pirates and Norskies.

Depending who is using the slur. Heathen is used by Christians and I think Infidel is used by Muslims.

Doesn't it depend on the religion of the one making the slur? To some Christians, you and I are heathen. I suspect in Islam, we would be an infidel.

I have seen them use both but it seems like they prefer Infidel.
Since they live in caves and ride horses. It seems a little hypocritical to call anyone a heathen. They have camps where they teach hate and killings? It is hard to have a death camp and chop up people with a ax and called someone else a heathen.

infidel is usually used for the Abraham religions, like I'm a Muslim, Christians and Jews are infidels to me, Muslims and Christians are infidels for the Jews and Muslims and Jews are infidels to the Christians.
and heathens are for the rest of different faiths, like Hindus, Buddhists, Sikhs, pagans, Wicca, etc.

Heathen refers to a person who is ignorant of your beliefs.

An infidel is a person who knows of them and doesn't believe them or believes something else instead.

However, the 2 are pretty interchangable.

Get yourself a dictionary.
Heathen's are fine and loving people having no God or many.
Infidel is anything other than muslims with except for sunni and shiite outside the USA.
They are not really slurs unless you use it that way.

I believe the term infidel was a French term originally used by the
Crusaders. It meant someone who lacks intelligence.
