I am a 42 yr old single woman, feeling it's time for me to settle down. But I am very picky, don't want to settle with what ever comes along, I am pretty and very ambitious and am a christian. I am hoping to find someone that is appealing to the eyes, romantic and christian. Great personality. But I am not sure how to go about finding such a guy? I am not into Bars. I do go to church, but I don't know how to make myself look available and not catch the wrong type of men.

Try going to the book stores.Go to the books that are written on subjects in which you are interested . When you see someone you are drawn to, wait till he is browsing a book,then start a conversation. Ask him why he's interested in that particular author or book. After the initial ice breaker it gets easier. So many book stores have coffee shops, it makes it so simple to stop and chat for a few moments. You just say "you have been so helpful (as you are selecting the book he recommended) May I buy you a cup of coffee?"

Consider the relationships you've had in the past; these are the types of men you will probably pick again. So position yourself in an arena where a man could pick you; rethink your strategy, know yourself, go to sporting events and community functions, and expand your resources. The best, very best way I ever found to meet a guy was to take a class with them, i.e. computers, engineering, etc. "I think quality" and so should you. Teaming up with a fellow classmate to study allows you the chance to know who they are without them knowing what you REALLY are doing and if the chemistry is there...well, the rest is history! Since you're a christian, I'd go to church, retreats, and I don't know what their called but things like Acquire the Fire, with bands and stuff. I can't think of the name, it's on the tip of my tongue, I think it starts with an "r".

Just be who you are; friendly, outgoing and men will find you, even at your church, or at church functions. Our church has a band and has several functions for singles, home groups just for singles, etc.... You can also get online at I think it's called ChristianCafe.com.....

try going out to a function with the church singles....like dancing where there is no liquor served...we do @ once a month

what do you mean older?--your still young--age is a number--check out churches--online christian dating sites (you say your christian)---stay connected to social functions--go out with single friends------and keep busy-----youll find somebody great
