Use rid shampoo and then after you use that I found when my children were young and of daycare age.. (at risk for getting head lice) that if I spritz their head with hairspray they didnt get headlice even thou everyone in their class had the lice ... it seems that the lice couldnt stick to the hairspray.. (the trick was to spray their hair with hairspray in the morning and then when they got home they got a shower and washed the hairspray out and down the drain went the spray and the lice that tried to stick on) .. worked at my house and we only had one incidence of head lice .. when I started the hairspray regiment we never got headlice in our house again.
Hope this helps..
Blessings,
RiahWillow

RID shampoo or Olive Oil. Coat all of the hair in Olive Oil and comb out the eggs with a very fine toothed comb. The Oilive Oil smothers the lice and kills them.

Lice shampoos. Also need to wash/boil any bedding and clothing to de-lice household. Sometimes people even cut hair short on children.

Get A-200 at the drug store and follow the directions. This stuff won't hurt your child, but will kill lice eggs and the tiny comb will remove the bugs, dead or alive. Try to use a large magnifying glass when doing this so you don't miss any.

Try using lice shampoo and then rinse it out with cold water.

We tried everything over the counter and nothing worked. I gave instructions to the oldest child on what to do but she forgot. So she combined baking soda and vaseline and put it on the other's heads. We left it on overnight. Next day we combed out the bugs and eggs and the problem was gone.

MY MOTHER IN LAW'S DAUGHTER HAD IT WHEN SHE WAS YOUNGER, AND WE COATED HER HEAD IN MAYO AND LEFT IT FOR ABOUT 30MIN AND THE RINSED HER HAIR AND COMBED THEM OUT. IT TOOK ABOUT 2 TIMES AND SEVERAL HOURS, BUT IT WORKED. AFTER THAT, WE LYSOLED EVERYTHING AND WASHED ALL BED COVERS. SHE HASNT HAD IT AGAIN.
