The bonobo chimp "kanzi" had a 200 word vocabulary, using sign language, by age 6.
Kanzi, was able to learn sign laguage from another chimp and teach sign language to others. Kanzi could also use a computer to identify hundreds of different objects, and could even string words together to form sententces. For example: he was told (using sign laguage), "knazi, give the dog a shot". Kanzi, then responded by sorting through a toy bin and grabbing a plastic toy needle and attempted to inject a toy dog.
Chimps never did these things until their enviornment changed (man interacted with them and taught them).
Question: Is this just evolution rearing it's ugly head again?
Also, at this rate...where do you suppose chimps will be 500 years from now?
Will sign language have spread to all of them?
Will they start getting more intelligent?

fireball: You are wrong. They aren't just repeating words. They obviously understand the words. Didn't you read the entire question???

casey: It may not turn into a human. It may turn into something else. We'll never know for sure, because we won't be here 500 years from now....or 5 million years from now.
Btw: this isn't my "theory". I just stated some facts about chimps and asked some questions. Why won't you answer them?

Stephen N: I just asked a few simple questions. There isn't really a right or wrong answer and they are based on "what you THINK". Why will you not answer any of them? Does your holy book prohibit you from answering some simple questions?
